I think that in a sense this is true as the cultures and heritage that we grew accustomed to are kot being given the remembrance that it deserves and it is causing a massive forgetting of the cultures that mades us into what we are today.

This is one of the drawbacks of technology. Modernization is happening at a breakneck pace, leaving old schools of thought behind. Traditions are important, yes, but a case could be made that modernization is just as important for the advancement of society.

The thing that bothers me most on this subject is the destruction of the traditional family. The encouragement of the system to tell women to focus on careers first, then children after, has crushed many of the women I talk to in there mid thirties to forty five. I've had women crying in public about their choices, regretting that they've should have focused on school AFTER they found a husband and had a couple of children. They say it's ten times harder to find a good man now. Even if they've found a good man, most of them have to do IVF to attempt to have a child because they just aren't a fertile as they were in their 20's.
I'm not saying this is for every woman, by no means, but more often than not, I hear regret, rather than relief. Religious or not, we should try to preserve and promote the traditional family, in my opinion.

Sadly, i think that's true. I've been to a couplee remote places where culture once was very evident and talked to the old people there, i've heard sad stories about the newer generation preferring to go to cities and metropolises instead of helping out their villages, so it lies upon these old people to somehow preserve their culture.

With the age of modernization and with everyone being connected by the internet, gradually the culture and traditions of a lot of people are sinking to oblivion.  Within the next 20 years most of the people who have access to technology are going to forget about their tradition and move to technological age.

I think so a lot of countries have lost their culture and reformed to a more western culture. Asian is famous for amazing culture but some parts have westernized which is a real shame.

But then, you need to ask what you are going to get, if you remain loyal to the culture and traditions. The world is changing, and you need to change according to that. New technology is being invented everyday and the world is getting more urbanized. Very soon, more than 75% of the population will be living in the major urban centers.

In my own opinion, yes there is possibility that culture will be forgotten because of modernization.
People are loosing it because they don't hold on and they don't give value of it. The reason is they are not patronizing their own culture but they more patronize others culture.

Culture and tradition has a high possibility to fade away if we do not take good care of it. These are the treasures and the gifts of our forefathers that must be passed to the next generations. We admit that sometimes, we don't give importance and we don't follow these all the time, but we must all treasure it because these are part of our identity.

You can't force anyone to follow a particular culture. Sometimes it can infringe on their human rights. Look at the case in Bhutan. Everyone there is supposed to wear the national costume, including the national minorities. Even if someone want to wear western clothes such as T-shirts and jeans, the law doesn't allow them to do that.
