Its official, Taiwan is now following the foot step of Japan by Encouraging cryptocurrencies.
Saw this on the news; as stated byJason Hsu, a congressman from Taiwan’s

"Just because China and South Korea are banning, doesn’t mean that Taiwan should follow suit – there is a huge opportunity for growth in the future. We should emulate Japan, where they treat cryptocurrency as a highly regulated, highly monitored industry like securities."

Guys, What's your opinion on this?
Will this changes really boost the economy of Taiwan as they have stated?

I haven't understand why china banned ICO and exchanges? Any reasonable explanations? Sure it will boost taiwan economy but strict regulations are also needed to make the market more trustable.

I'm pretty much doubtful about boosting the Taiwan's economy, it could only help a little bit.
I don't see Taiwan as the country with favorable conditions for cryptocurrencies and ICOs like Australia or Switzerland.

i also can't understand the reason of china banning the ICO i heard china banned ICO because use the bitcoin for illigal activities of the bad elements i think thats not true its only an alibi because china want to regulate bitcoin to handle or control the cryptocurrency sorry if they an offended for my opinion.

Taiwan's law is conservative, I think the encrypted currency in a short time will not have much progress
At present the central government for how to manage the virtual currency has no unified point of view, to promote ICO in Taiwan should be too early

The only thing for huge growth of economics of any country is accepting crypto (including ICO) and regulating them. But not just rejecting everything. I hope Japan and Taiwan would become new motherland for upcoming ICO.

Taiwan is a small place. Not the world's economic center. Not just by the virtual money market will be economic growth. Some people are concerned about Japan. It is a bit too naive to expect people to pay too much attention to Taiwan. Or honestly do the real economy it

These are great news if indeed are official. You never know what China may wake up to, they may even change the rules.

If this news is genuine, it is a great milestone to the Bitcoin Market. For sure that the countries who are early adapters of Bitcoin will be one of the most rich countries in the future. Just like those people who are early adapters of Bitcoin. They are now really rich. Good job for the Taiwan government.

It's great news for crypto-community; one more country becomes tolerant to ICOs and cryptocurrencies. I hope it's long-term.

The Republican Chinese government tries it's best not to copy the people's republican.
That's a complete different authority, even the Autonomous region of Hong Kong is not following the Chinese ban.

Grin Grin"Gov is retard" this got me laughing.
I think you made a point about the government not wanting people to be rich. Cause looking at it in the normal sense, there is no good reason why they would just disapprove ICOs. If not that they dont want people to be wealthy.

To secure customers. So you unless you are an ICO organizer. What is the role of a government? To provide friendly environment.  But friendly environment is not as it is now. When ICO investors gave their money to ICO organizers and basically get no quarantine they will ever get anything back. I saw even ICOS clearly state, that they are not obliged to make a working game ( ICO was about a mobile video game).

China is just advanced, all governments will follow. They will for sure not stop, since is in their interest that economy booms, but as it is right now they need to do something.

Yes this is good news for the cyto enthusiasts and for the Taiwan. Any idea how much does Taiwan contribute to the total % of the bitcoin ? I hope other countries may follow the Taiwan way in legalizing the bitcoin and not the China way.

Regulations are needed to remove tension of large investors who are still thinking to go in or stay away.

If the news or the rumor is true about Taiwan then it is absolutely positive for the country.

In my opinion Taiwan  does not ban ICO because they want to keep up with modern technology. It's not to boost their economy.

At least the government of Taiwan is going in the right direction of improving their country economy and also trying to catch up with other countries that have already adopted a friendly stance towards crypto-currencies in a faster pace, China will soon regret their decision to ban ICOs and crypto-currencies exchange that operates in their country.

Banning is not a good way to put law about ICOs. Good regulations can be made without banning.
