The Russian Central Bank has noticed many advantages that the creation of a national cryptocurrency could bring. First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov approved the creation of “kryptorubel”. Although the Russian Central Bank supports the idea of creating its own digital currency, it is very sceptical about other cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Maybe they'll hire Vitalik to write code for them Cheesy

Furthermore she said that the central bank would focus on educating the public about cryptocurrencies.
Does that mean they are not going to ban BTC? Looks like it. We'll see how they play it out. If they will try to make their new crypto easily traceable and try to ban all other cryptos (the communist stance) or make it easily tradable on their own platforms, allowing users to exchange it freely to any other cryptocurrency (the capitalist stance) Cheesy

I think the main goal of any "national cryptocurrency" is to distract people from true cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, since national cryptocurrencies are very likely to be centralized by design and may even have so backdoors. And the whole crypto and blockchain technology is still very young and has many unsolved problems, most notable of them is scaling. Even is some government wanted, they couldn't move any significant amount of their economy to crypto, because it's not able to process enough transactions, unless their "national cryptocurrency" would have dramatically different design which would mean it's 100% centralized.

they will adopt the communist position as always

The Russian Central Bank has noticed many advantages that the creation of a national cryptocurrency....

they are experts in manipulating people

@Olga Skorobogatova, Vice President of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation:

" Furthermore she said that the central bank would focus on educating the public about cryptocurrencies. She also mentioned a recent case where false bitcoins were sold near the supermarket in Obninsk. Such cases have no right to take place. The central bank will pay great attention to improving its financial capacity in order to minimise this type of frauds. "

I think it's clear what their intentions are.

For now their central bank only get scared and warned people about the use of crypto-currencies. I got it from previous news from Russia.
That's pretty possible that Buterin will work for the Government in the case of the decision about creation of national crypto currency will not appear just like a gossip. I suppose their banking system saw danger in Bitcoin, but instead of to follow the road of China about banning they decided to use Bitcoin and make their own analogue. Let's see how it's going to work Smiley

What would be the advantage for the Russian people if the central bank creates its own centralized kryptorubel? They would still rely on the goodwill of the issuer and another questions is how will be the acceptance of this system worldwide?

Of course are they sceptical about other crypto currencies because they have no control over it!  Cheesy

And in order to control everything, the Russian government wants to introduce its own crypto currency. It seems to me that the citizens of Russia are not yet ready to introduce crypto currency. The economy is very weak, so it's too early to talk about the Crypto-currency

On my opinion "kryptorubel" is completely paper project, just for money laundering for its creation. We are hearing a lot of talks from russia about cryptocurrency legislation, creation of something their owns, smart people there already gain profit on mining, they do not relay on government, and that is why they are rich.
