Thanks mate, seems like my graphic card is supposed to mine this slow.
Does anyone have any recommendation on graphic cards? 150$ budget.
I'm going to use it for mining and abit of gaming.

Everyone using cgminer or BFGminer, please make sure you are running the latest version. A bug was fixed that could cause the miner to flood the server with getwork requests. It may have been the issue we had a couple weeks back.

Look at the hardware comparison linked to above. Try and find an AMD card that gives you a good hash rate for your money.

But also look at the BFL BitForce SC devices that are coming. You may want to think about buying one of those instead, or buy the graphics card mostly for mining, as it's hard to tell how much it will mine before ASICs make it too slow to be worthwhile.

Of course it still makes sense to buy a GPU if you will game on it, and use it for mining for as long as it is profitable. But it's good to be aware that the future of GPU mining is now very uncertain.

I'm having trouble getting BitMinter working. I just heard about BitCoins today and thought they sounded interesting, so I got a wallet and went to download the BitMinter client. However, I can't seem to actually finish installing it. I've been stuck at 90% done with "Verifying Application" for over an hour now, and tried restarting the client, resetting my router and rebooting my computer none of which have worked.

Anyone know how to get this working?

This is sometimes caused by an anti virus trying to inspect the file transfer and accidentally breaking it. Specifically AVG antivirus will do this.

Also it can be caused by a java bug after you upgrade from java 6 to java 7. You will have to clear the java temporary files to fix it. You find this in the java control panel. On Windows you can find the java control panel inside the windows control panel. Or you can open it with "javaws -viewer" from the command line on any operating system.

The client can also be started from the command line with "javaws http://bitminter.com/client/bitminter.jnlp"

What is my problem?

If you activate auto cash out for a given currency and your balance is over your chosen minimum threshold, then your entire balance will be sent to your chosen address at the next payment run. Payment runs are every hour on the hour, plus whenever a new block of a given currency is confirmed.
Active    Type    Threshold    Pay to address    Action
On    BTC    0.00100000    1GT6sKWGWPeKrxehyYsQpMX7gFCWE3wkCo

I see nothing coming in my account.
My wallet is still 0,00 all together 3 days now.
They are 120 times confirmed, but unspended.

It does not seem the matter if I donate 50% or just 1% I just don't get money anymore.

If your still busy on the other side of the world, I understand.
Enjoy...
Say so, and I will turn to p4man or a other with knowledge.

Besides p4man speaks dutch.
My vocabulary sucks when it comes to English.
Not even had 200 hours English at school, so I learned my English from television.

In case you are Dutch or at least understand it, please take a short look at the Dutch subforum.
You will find some more info over there.
If you need some other info to resolve my problem, just ask.
I think this is kind'a strange.
Minting with bitminter and nothing receiving on/in my wallet.

Looks like there's no work registered from you for over 3 months. Username wasta?

Are you sure you are mining on the right account? If you are using bitminter client, click "settings" -> "account" in the pulldown menus and check that the username is correct.

When you are mining and you see proofs of work being accepted in the miner on your computer, you should also be able to see proofs of work increase on the website if you refresh the page (go "my account" -> "workers" in the website menu).

Back in Norway now. I don't understand Dutch all that well but your English was easy enough to understand. Smiley

Should we adjust the PPLNS payment system from N=Difficulty to N=2xDifficulty? More info in the main thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=27062.msg1088116#msg1088116

Nope. There's nothing you need to do, except voice your opinion. Smiley

I'm for the increase. Even though I mine pretty much 24/7 I'm only mining with the graphics card in my desktop, so when I decide to play a game it drops my hash rate significantly. The increase will make my expected per block drop less during these times.

Wow, the pool is growing at a crazy rate right now.

Welcome to all the new bitminters. Your support and choice of mining pool is much appreciated.

About the change of N in PPLNS, I will wait a couple more days so users can comment further. It looks like most users want this change, in which case I will announce it one week before making the actual change. I know this change isn't a big deal, but I think it's a good police to always give everyone notice ahead of time when making changes to the reward system.
