Hope there will be a lite version of Deadalus wallet, syncing the current wallet just take ages and feels like one is syncing the whole blockchain, one reason i don't like ada tokens, where to store them is pain Lips sealed
And i can't wait to see what good news the cardano team has for the community, new years gift i hope Wink

It's not necessary to use Daedalus when you only want to store your ADA, you can use a light-client wallet (developed by Emurgo) Yoroi for that purpose.

Cardano's roadmap has been updated:

https://cardanoroadmap.com/

If you don't want to go through the text, have a look at the video, which sums up almost every update made in the roadmap:

These both videos where updated roadmap and achievement of last year were discussed and then Charles Hoskinson own words about the development. It shows how clarity is in his mind about future plans and features. What I still doens't like is wallet's syncing issue how much time it takes to update that is bit annoying. Hardware wallet integration and easy syncing wallet we need the most.

Where did you submit your ticket? A lot of engineers of IOHK and Emurgo are always available at official Telegram channels of Cardano to assist people with issues like that. Moreover, you can also ask your questions at Cardano's official forum or Cardano's official Reddit.

If you're using Daedalus, I can help you too with any wallet restoration-related issues!

Sorry to mix up Deadalus wallet with this project I'm interested to know to speed up this wallet restoration? After last update from the Deadalus wallet it is into restoration process but they have very poor support team and I would like to say this is the most stupid wallet and the team ever I seen.

Are you trying to restore any wallet OR trying to update your Daedalus? Roll Eyes

BTW, where did you contact the "support team"? Telegram? Cardano Forums?

I decided to move my ADA coins into personal wallet off the exchange. I choosed Deadalus as well and it is third day and still chain is being downloaded and hardly I reached at 52% now. At the same time I see people reporting issue with syncing or restoration. This made me little concerned to look at other alternative ways if anyone is using or has tested any other wallet ?

Of course, there are alternative ways! You should only use Daedalus if you want a full node; if you don't want a full node, use a light-client wallet such as Yoroi.

As the Shelley is planned to get released within this quarter, the design of Cardano's delegation mechanics is being finalized. This is going to be a very interesting quarter for Cardano:

https://twitter.com/IOHK_Charles/status/1082401822206279680/

Quote
Heading to Berlin for an internal workshop to finalize the design of Cardano's delegation mechanics. 50 pages of math to go through #ShelleyIsComing

On a side note, Cardano is among the top-ten gainers today within the first one-hundred coins (by market cap).

I will switch to lighter version of wallet off course but first to recover my ADA tokens. I see last upgrade brought unpleasant experience to many users those were using Deadalus and unfortunately support is poor. They need to work on existed issues before moving ahead. They wrote article by self declaring issue has resolved without feedback while we are facing restoring wallet issue.

Those statistics are showing how much work is going on in development but once again I would like to say they will have to come out with some light wallet or bootstraps for chain to make syncing easier and faster. I never experienced this bad with syncing/restoring any coin in so many years. This will be hurdle for adoption for new people they must pay attention to this syncing issue seriously.

No doubt these are amazing facts but they should have to develop a light weight wallet to store this coin with confidence. Deadalus is one of the most stupid wallet in the history of cryptocurrency and unfortunately I am using this and facing trouble to keep this update.

I've never faced any major issue with Daedalus; I'm not sure (and confused) why you think it's the "most stupid wallet in the history of cryptocurrency"... Roll Eyes

Plus:

You should only use Daedalus if you want a full node; if you don't want a full node, use a light-client wallet such as Yoroi.
