I would like to sell a couple of ebooks which I read. Therefore, I am looking for a good place to sell them for Bitcoin or other crypto currencies. The marketplace should be decentralized, should have got a good amount of buyers / sellers, no dead marketplace. Some suggestions?

PS: I bought the books regularly. Just one copy, no illegal stuff Wink

Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

You have two options for now I guess , Either use https://cryptothrift.com/ to sell your ebooks or go to the Digital goods section to sell it to some users here .
OpenBazaar would be definitly the best but that's not going to come out until November so if you can wait I'd suggest you to wait otherwise go to what I told you above

I would recommend this forum. Also, http://cryptothrift.com as mentioned by the last user isn't decentralized, and they charge some fees, while here, at bitcointalk, many escrow services are offered for free.
BTW it is hard to prove that you don't keep the copy of the ebooks, and hence it will be illegal. Check carefully before you sell.

You found the right place - the Goods forum on Bitcointalk -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0

There's a lot of good action in the Goods forum - great offers, a lot of things for sell, a lot of traffic volume of purchasing.

Post your offer in a new topic and see what happens. (I'm surprised other people who have responded here have completely overlooked the forum the spend their time on!)

Good luck!

I've already tried FreeMarket and the Nxt in-wallet marketplace. Both are good and have got a good feature set but there are too few buyers and sellers.

It's simple, right now we have no one unfortunately. OpenBazaar is still on the very early days. As far as I know using it is a bit risky right now. Has anyone actually used it and can comment on the experience? Last thing I want is to get scammed in a decentralized exchange when I haven't got many BTC to use to buy things with.
