What is the common cause of poverty?

I think one of the cause of poverty is lack of education because not all people can afford to go in school due to high tuitions, corrupt government and the highest number of people here in our country. Government should give a permanent work to all workers and free education to lessen poverty.

Then what is the major cause for the lack of education? IMO, the root cause for disadvantages such as lack of education, poverty, corruption.etc is the rapid population growth. The population explosion results in increased competition for resources, and this in turn leads to poverty and corruption.

Mostly the unemployment factors and the political instability, because most of the people are now are into education, like in our country philippines most of us are force to go abroad because the percentage of employment increasingly grows every year.. while corruption in the government through overpricing of the projects and involving them in narcotics...

No my friend, it's not unemployment, it's a job mismatch. People tend to look for job not suitable for them or not under the course they've taken. There are plenty of jot offering, too bad that some doesn't have the qualification.

It is not also the corruption, since it is present in every country and not just the Philippines.

In my opinion, it's the "laziness" of the people that makes them hungry. Some are contented with what they do everyday to earn (routine). Some also look for courses during college that are trending(uso). Not thinking that they have to finish it in four years, and in that four years, plenty of changes, including the most in demand jobs.

The common cause of poverty is because of the corrupt government authorities, with this the government resources is not being optimized as observed the following are the usual cause:

1. Unemployment - opportunities is concentrated in urban areas (much higher wages compared to rural) agriculture and fisher folks are high in poverty incidence;
2.lack of social services;
3. poor road infrastructure, transportation system, ICT resources and water system;
4. and no economic activity within the locality.

If there are no corrupt officials no one will suffer from poverty. government can help alleviate the lives of the community by putting good programs, projects and activities.

Laziness,  ignorance,  uneducated,  dependence. No one will ecperience poverty if they dont allow it to happen. Have a strong determination to get out of poverty.

If it's poverty en masse then it's either due to environmental factors such as say being situated in a desert lacking basic resources, or a corrupt oppressive government controlling everything. I think those are the big ones.

Our country, which is the Philippines, is part of third world country country who strives to developed its economy yet a lot of economic problems were faced like poverty which is most common in our country. You might ask why do poverty arises as it is an epidemic disease. Poverty is when a household cannot support its members to at least eat three times a day. But why do poverty arises? I think poverty is first caused by the lack of education of people. We can see that education is the most common qualification for job so if one lacks of it, he/she might end up having no good paying job that cannot sustain the daily needs of his or her family. Also the mindset of people that they should've helped by the government can caused them to experienced poverty. They keep complaining that government didn't do anything for them to escape from the poverty they are experiencing. But I think government already did they part, if they don't then go blame them. I think the very problem of the society for it to experience poverty is its people also. They are the one who should be striving to have the betterment of life yet the only thing that they know is to keep blaming others and they become complacent on their situation. We shouldn't always depend on others but do something on ourselves. Hence, the actions of the people will really determine what will they going to face, so what they will get will always depend on what they do.

Because lot of person are lazy to find a job, they are just content of what they have, they are just depending on other people.

Also some people are have a lot of kids even they cant afford to have a many kids, thats why some kids are in the road begging for a money or food to eat
