In my experience, the really big ROIs come from investing in ICOs with low market caps. Some examples are LINK (4x-5x ICO price) and DNT (maxed at 24x and still at 5x ICO price). Obviously, lots of research has to be done to differentiate the good from the bad, but its worth it for the potentially huge returns. Even when projects are solid like Bancor or Filecoin, there ends up being almost no room for growth because if they evaluate themselves with 200+ million dollar market caps and proceed to raise that much, the price has nowhere to go but down post-ICO. Therefore, I'm only interested in discussing solid, low-market cap ICOs here. I'm going to list the top few choices I've seen posted here and elsewhere, and I'm going to keep this list updated per your suggestions: Airswap - https://airswap.io - Similar to shapeshift and 0x, but with a few twists. The team is large and is serious about the project. They use a whitelist for their token sale. There's a lot of competition here but it seems promising - we're in need of a good token swap protocol, as none have really stood out as the best yet. Edit: Cap is bigger than I thought. Still a good project but less of a margin for profit. Cindicator - https://cindicator.com - Really an incredible idea, but far-reaching like Golem. Very low market cap for such a large team and project, and as far as I'm aware it is about to be reached. The predictive market AI based on staking tokens is an exciting idea and it will be interesting if it is implemented properly as a way to advise investors. They promote collective intelligence which blockchain technology is perfect for. EnjinCoin - Cryptocurrency for gamers, a huge market. They have a small team (4 people, plus advisors) and are seeking to raise $25 million according to my understanding. Very well put together roadmap, whitepaper and website. Request Network - "Raising 100K eth, 21K people in slack before they shut down whitelisting weeks ago, and backed by the top silicon valley seed fund YCombinator." Ambrosus - "Combining high-tech sensors, blockchain protocol and smart contracts, we are building a universally verifiable, community-driven ecosystem to assure the quality, safety & origins of products." (Some serious credentials on the people behind this one) Wanchain - Whitelist closed, ICO starts October 3. "Wanchain seeks to create a new distributed financial infrastructure, connecting different blockchain networks together to exchange value." ( A lot of people from Factom advising this project) Grid+ - ICO starts October 30. "Grid+ leverages the Ethereum blockchain to give consumers direct access to wholesale energy markets. This decreases costs, shifts production closer to demand, and moves us all toward a cleaner energy future." (Backed by Consensys) RedPulse - ICO starts October 8, Whitelist is already closed (I think?). "China’s economy is already the 2nd largest in the world in terms of nominal GDP, and 1st in terms of purchasing power parity (PPP). However, as a market for investment and industry participation, it remains incredibly difficult to understand. This disconnect presents a huge opportunity to platforms and services that can bridge this informational gap. The problem is made all the more challenging to solve by several critical circumstances." This is just a few that I've found so far based on my own research over the last few months, and suggestions from others in the community so far. I have some other projects I'm looking into for November as well, but will make another post when that gets closer. As I said I will add projects to the list as you guys suggest them - let's sort through this influx of ICO's and find which ones are worth our time.

Of all the above I think that none have that of a viable idea. Bringing innovation to the real world through ethereum tokens isn't something too viable but I believe that people are overestimating the abilities of ethereum. Perhaps the ICO bubble will be bursting soon and we'll be seeing a massive outcry in ethereum.

Good list, I always missed both Airtoken and AIrswap together, they are all at a very good value and all have huge potential especially Cindicator, $15 million cap for this project is a huge plus for investor because I have seen project with less potential having higher cap

Airtoken is lying or sounds like a pipe dream. In order to pay the users for advertising, Airtoken will need to get advertisers and earn advertising revenue. Then it needs complicated processes to show the ads where the advertisers want, to charge properly and to share the revenue with users. This incurs significant costs and is a huge undertaking, which requires much more than just creating an Ethereum token. They need to show how they will be able to do these numerous processes much more cheaply than the existing companies, in order to be able to share some of the advertising revenue with users. Have they ever done anything similar to this before? Probably not. They have 6 reviews of their AirFox Browser on Google Play, probably by people who saw their ICO. Airtoken’s website states: “Publishers will have higher monetization, new user reach, and a better user experience.” But its white paper does not explain how. Is this blowing smoke? There is another major problem with Airtoken: Micro-loans, which is a complicated, costly and money-losing business. Google “micro loan failure” and you’ll see articles like: “The microfinance delusion” “Tragic failure of microcredit” “Microfinance Has Been A Huge Disappointment Around The World” “Micro loans Don’t Solve Poverty” “Perils of Microfinance” Micro loans was concocted by emotional socialists who think with their hearts instead of their brains, which always makes a country poorer. The Airtoken team only needs to do 5 minutes of research on micro-loans and would have found the above. This means that they are dishonest. If they did not do the research, then they are incompetent. I agree with EnjinCoin. You can add Unikoin and Stockbet to that category. Ambrosus doesn’t make sense. Why do we need a new altcoin to record the history of products? Even if you record the history of products on the blockchain, how do you know the data is accurate? How can you trust the inputters of data? How do you know it isn’t put in by the manufacturers, who will exaggerate or lie? This sounds like another project trying to put the kitchen sink onto the blockchain. Airtoken seems like a company that is already successful just launching a vague ICO to raise more money. The cap is low so maybe investors will see profits anyway, but like jlp said it seems be a lot of marketing without a real foundation for a product/use of the coin. And yes, what is the point of Ambrosus. It sounds good until you actually start thinking about why it would ever need blockchain...then it makes no sense.

How will this be done legally though? Stock trading through blockchain is one of the things the SEC explicitly said they won't permit.

Good list, but largely incomplete. In fact, there are at least five times more ICOs running now - that I am aware of, plus all which I am not aware of. Actually, most of your listed ICOs where unknown to me. Therefore thanks for your excellent work of listing.

Very nice thread, I will keep an eye on it. Are you planning on adding more and writing new reviews? For all of those you mentioned I only heard of EnjinCoin, because they have a campaign here in the forum. I saw their project and I agree with you, they look nice. I also saw a few things on Filecoin and ArtToken by Capasity. They look like nice projects as well, what are your opinion on them?
Finally I would also like to hear your opinion on Unify. Not because I'm on their campaign, but because I also liked their project, mainly because it was so simple, that it really looks that it can be achievable. And since they are actually attempting to promote crypo knowledge in general, it looks like something important to me, because we all know how adoption will be important for bitcoin and crypto in general, so a project like this could help.

How about Hazza, Hazza is payment wallet model. It is based in Hongkong. I think it will be succesful like ten x pay, the start price of ICO is 0.35. Not too high and not too ow price. The possibility to increase the price in exchanger to 1 usd is very achieveble. with 1 USD the investor will make profit.

Great list. You explained everything perfectly.
Upfiring and Airswap are definitely very interesting. The prices are definitely a lot lower than Siacoin and Filecoin, and there has been a while since we've seen a boom in file based altcoins and i believe we may see one any moment now. Maybe Enjincoin as well, though i'm not sure whether there is going to be a particularly big interest for that small niche of people that will ever need to use Enjincoin.

DeckSwapHighly recommend looking into this project. It also has a low market cap initially. Its a decentralized card game based currency that will allow gamers to buy and sell items via the blockchain. Incredibly sound team/whitepaper and large potential for growth as the initial market valuation is ghastly low in comparison to the projects potential. Theres also a free airdrop of 5 million tokens going on Here's a link to the site: https://deckswap.com/s/uZmD

Why does a travel app need to be decentralized in the first place Agreed, some apps just don't need blockchain and it's ridiculous that they try to incorporate it just for funding.

Wow this is a great list but what about: "Name of random ICO coin I am part of"
It has these features: "List of features that are pretty much pure BS"
Here is the website: "link to overly done website"
Oh and no way am I sponsored by this coin I am posting above, but in my signature and profile picture I am clearly advertising the coin
(I am parodying the 10+ other posts in this THREAD with THIS SAME FORMAT LOL)

Absolutely phenomenal coin to invest in and I believe the ICO is still going on. Everything about this project in my opinion screams of success. Solid team, sound idea, established company, immense user base ready to adopt the coin to buy and sell in game goods. Win win win

I think, because COMSA does not have a hardcap. Definitely a project that deserves attention. Comsa definitely has great ideas. However, if we are talking about ico with low market caps, comsa being an ico with no max cap, it is quite hard to classify if the market cap is low or not. However, if we talking about red pulse, then we definitely know that the project is low cap. Even though it receive as much as 45mil, it will reject 30mil and end up have only 15mil to work with.

That ICO is a lot of marketing imo. It's easy to code real time into ethereum smart contracts, so I don't see why it's necessary.

I think hot ICOs of October is ChronoLogic(DAY). It's the first Ethereum asset pegged to time, DAY price is lower than the ICO price now but the price may increase significantly when more exchange sites accept it.
That ICO is a lot of marketing imo. It's easy to code real time into ethereum smart contracts, so I don't see why it's necessary. ChronoLogic will ultimately launch a platform, which will allow other users to launch their own Proof of Time tokens. It considers time as value. What is proof of time?

I've heard a lot of positive stuff about Ambrosus, altough the bounty campaign was a "failure", pre ICO was not, they have a solid team behind it I have been eyeing this Ambrosus. I just like their idea of building a universally verifiable system to assure the quality, safety & origins of products, kinda my area of specialization and seeing the picture of how this will work. I don’t know the market cap yet, but you might want to find out a little about TIO, the team really fascinated me though and it might be a project worth looking at.

When you have TimeMints(3333 investors at ICO), the minting process will work automatically based on your address and the passage of time, you have ranging from 0.5% to 1% additional DAY tokens minted per day.

ChronoLogic has a nice project overview that can help the people out with paying things online. The only thing that it has to really compete with is Bitcoin and that is not a battle that they can win. It's tough to state what the most successful ICO of this month will be.

Probably you can look at SONM, Centra, Eidoo these are going to make an impact in a month or two. Also last week I herd much about Confideal in Facebook, all the groups I read suddenly started to post about that project. Nothing special, but platform for smart contracts that can be used by anyone.

But no one can operate with such budget to buy everything. My choice is 0,3btc for EnjinCoin, Confideal and Upfiring

The Contrib (CTB) Platform: A Transparent Contribution Platform Backed by Premium Digital Assets on the Blockchain Public awareness about cryptocurrency is growing at a rapid pace however many people are intimated by technical barriers to entry. CONTRIB will remove these barriers by simplifying the process into a traditional value proposition model. Removing technical barriers to entry allows anyone to start earning cryptocurrency. Unlike many pie in the sky ICO’s that are based on pipe dreams, CONTRIB has been in the making for several years and is backed by a premium asset portfolio of more than 22 000 digital assets. Be sure to download the whitepaper and also consider joining the referral program. Visit: http://crypto.contrib.com

Guys I really don`t get how are you choosing these ICOs. Allright, i have 2btc (occasionally happened luck about 3 years ago), and about $1500 for investing. I heard about omega1, airswap and request from my friends, but I never faced confideal, for exaple. Never heard of it at all. Why there so many fans of this ICO here? Can someone explaine me one a basic level, please? Or recommend some ICOs which whitepapers are OK to you (and explain why). Tnx.

I'm going to list the top few choices I've seen posted here and elsewhere, and I'm going to keep this list updated per your suggestions: Upfiring - https://upfiring.com - Incentivized P2P file-sharing. Pretty unique and overall solid concept with a very low market cap. If the app is successful I expect to see huge returns - for reference, similar projects like Siacoin and Filecoin are valued at 20x-30x Upfiring's ICO price. I skyped with them over an issue I had at the start of the crowdsale and they were very nice/knowledgeable. Their crowdsale contract is also made with in such a way as to prevent people from losing their tokens if they accidentally contribute from an exchange or incompatible wallet. Solid project overall. Airswap - https://airswap.io - Similar to shapeshift and 0x, but with a few twists. I really apreciate the list

I understand that a low market cap is attractive in that there is a good possibility of the value of the token increasing (or reducing) faster.
I am weary to invest if the marketcap is too low. It means that the platform may fial if its underfunded.
I am interested to know what everyone would classify as a ideal market cap.
5 million and under? 10 million and under? 15 million and under? 20 million and under? 25 million and under?
And a high market cap?
10 million and over? 20 million and over? 30 million and over? 40 million and over?

Of all the above I imagine that none have that of a practical thought. Conveying advancement to this present reality through ethereum tokens isn't something excessively suitable yet I trust that individuals are overestimating the capacities of ethereum. Maybe the ICO air pocket will blast soon and we'll be seeing an enormous objection in ethereum.

@Doubleluck, That was good a analysis of the token you listed! For November I will like you to look at Spectre.ai. Spectre is embacking on something different, exciting and disruptive in a good sense! Spectre ia creating a brokeless trading platform for investor and as far as the practitioners are concern, they believe this is the most pressing solution they need right now! Kindly take a look at Spectre.ai ICO!

I would consider Notary Platform is a good investment and have a lower market caps. The Notary Platform is the first mobile application which enables you to engage in contracts on the go. This is a good project it is first of its kind, an AI driven platform for smart contract.

I'm following www.MindSports.IOTheir ICO is in a couple of weeks. Solid team, good use-case for crypto, and a fixed supply of currency.

I am interested to know what everyone would classify as a ideal market cap.
5 million and under? 10 million and under? 15 million and under? 20 million and under? 25 million and under?
$15m and under is what I invest in, and every single ICO I did was very profitable. I might go for a bigger cap if the idea is really good or it has hype around it (like Kyber), but these days pretty much every ICO with over $15m is going to trade under ICO price. The thing is that ICOs are trying to raise so much money these days. Come on, noone needs $85m to make a decentralized exchange or something. If I was to start a business, I would be super happy to get $500k-1m loan, ICO guys these days are not even happy with $50m. That's a huge amount of money for an idea.

What I believe to be a fair ICO valuation is $15million but since BTC has gone up recent I still think a range between $15 to $20 million is okay, why do I project with nothing on ground be going for $50, $100 million marketcap, Bancor is a good recent example raised alot of fund and nothing on ground to justified the fund raised

You simply nailed it. It marvels me these days how some ICO fund raisers with nothing on ground yet, set hardcarp to the tune of $50M and above just to get their projects started thereby giving room for less expansion drive. I would prefer if we're less greedy in the cryptoworld for sustainability sake and trust building. Recent happenings in the ICO ecosystem need to be checked. $1M to $30M hardcarp for a startup ICO, depending on the nature of project, would be very reasonable. Such will give room for future expansion.

Check out Pally app guys - alive now. Low hard cap 4 550 000usd, 25% discount now, beta version alive, over 25000 downloads of Beta version, experienced team, David Drake in advisory team, most undervalued ICO now imho. Decentralised social travel - unlike from airbnb - pally has no fees, will be way cheaper and more available for millenials and so on and so on!!! https://pally.co

Good call on Pally misa. That project looks promising. What I plan to see from that is how do they integrate it with the users and the providers just like AirBNB. Also, will they be opening new cities in the future at a worldwide scope or will they be staying in the confines of the EU? Last thing is, will they develop and app for Android?
If they can provide answers to those questions of mine, Pally will for sure get a foothold in the travel marketplace.

They are some ICOs no doubt that may need much larger capital to fund the project but I believe such project shouldn't be just an idea but with an already established products and /or services. For this October I decided to participate in such projects like Micromoney, Ethlend and some others with higher cap like Electroneum which generated much publicity. I believe these are good projects.

I just got back from the Asia Pacific. 88 Coin which has an upcoming pre sale is generating a lot of buzz. It looks very promising. I know there is a large network of folks interested in this one. From the glut of ICO's this one could be valuable..... let me know if anyone has any other information about this group? www.88coin.ioThanks!

This month my choice is Confideal! it's quite young and new platform. It enables users with no coding skills to create an enforceable, self-executing and secure digital agreement powered by Ethereum for all types of transactions.
Interesting. Thanks for sharing. Will check this out There is obe ico is ongoing now with similar feature you described, the name is etherparty.

congrats for your list, Maybe Enjincoin as well, though i'm not sure whether there is going to be a particularly big interest for that small niche of people that will ever need to use Enjincoin. The prices are definitely a lot lower than Siacoin and Filecoin, and there has been a while since we've seen a boom in file based altcoins and i believe we may see one any moment now.

Qchain has been under the investment radar although they've been getting good press (most recently from NASDAQ). I anticipate they will close out the ICO with a market cap very ripe for returns. Unique product with very respectable team.

Hello everyone, Seems this thread is still popular regardless of the fact that it is for October. I would like to add Crowdholding to the list, they have a goal of 1 million USD, and they have a working beta since March. https://ico.crowdholding.com
