I think you can already see that in the Announcements (Altcoins) board in the Alternate cryptocurrencies section of this forum. You can find dozens of airdrops there, because like you said, it looks to be the new trend. I don't know where this is going, but you can probably make some cash out of these things, and then just invest it on your favorite crypto. I haven't started doing it yet, because there are so many, that I don't even know where to start, specially wih these e-xxx airdrops.
