hi, there are some issues here which I believe was not properly ventilated - first there is no reason why manufacturers of the goods would want to pay for a token so that it can use your random number to track and have it validated by a consumer who also has to pay for a token to do this. In the event that this really takes off - the token will increase in price - which idiotic consumer will pay to buy a token to authenticate his goods ?

Is on the block-chain so ? Blockchain is just a record or ledger on distributed database sitting in many servers. In this case the manufacturer of the product has their own database (customer data) and their unique codes for all their products so why do they need to put it on a distributed database, in short why do you pay $400 for a NIKE shoes and do not trust NIKE's database to confirm this ?
