Hello people,

currently i'm running with the following setup :

Mobo : MSI 970A-G46 SockelAM3 +
Memory : 2x Kingston HyperX Blu 4 GB DIMM DDR3-1600
CPU : AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition processor - Socket AM3/AM2 + (3400MHz)
HDD : old sata HDD with Windows 7 home edition (x64)
Video card : Sapphire ATI HD 7970 grafische kaart (PCI-e, 3 GB GDDR5
PSU : Be quiet! Pure Power CM BQT L8-CM-630W PC voeding (630 watt)

Extra fan : TRICOOL Antec 120mm Blue LED Case Fan (connected to the mobo so i assume this is also drawing some power Smiley )

What video card would you recommend i add to this system?

My 7970 is overclocked (1085 engine clock, 1500 memory, 10% powertune)

I am willing to downclock it again to normal speeds if that means it's slightly safer to add another card . Perhaps even ake out 4 GB of ram if that would make a difference Smiley

Any tips are welcome Smiley

I have 3 7950s on a hx750 psu  I would go for a 7950 and underclock / undervolt the cpu  and run the new 7950 at 1050 core 1250 ram 0.150v core you will get 630+kh on a 7950 with those setings ( I have found the 7950 vapour x to be the best  Smiley

None. GPUs are nearly worthless. But another 7970 if you insist. Removing RAM never helps.

that was my initial thought aswell, but would you combine it with also downclocking the 7970 a bit or just put it in & see what happens? Smiley

I'm not mining BTC directly, i use it for altcoins Smiley and it's still worth the money for now, so i guess now is the time to act Smiley

2 7970's on a 630W PSU? Not sure that'ld work? Smiley

buy your self a watt meter and make sure you don't pull to much wattage from your psu and you will be fine a 7950 vapour x with the setings I posted uses less than 220w mining script getting you 630+kh

With two 7970s, I would go with an 800 at least. You have to leave 10-20% margin because they rarely do what the rating is. And Silver or Gold rating is worth it.
