In order to move coins to an exchange like TradeOgre (which only accepts file deposits) you need to withdraw to a local wallet first, before moving them to the exchange.  You can find the Qt wallets for MWC here (Windows, Mac or Linux): https://github.com/mwcproject/mwc-qt-wallet/releases

After you've received the coins in your local wallet you can create a (file) transaction to make a deposit on for example TradeOgre.

This guy is a scammer. BE WARNED.

latest update from MWC
MWC decentralization : distribution of DEV fund and unclaimed airdrop fund
The remainder of the entire DEV Fund, which was created in the genesis block, the HODL rewards that were received by the dev fund which account for about 30% of the coins that were in the dev fund, and the remaining unclaimed airdrop fund, will be distributed to equally to all outputs in wallets that are registered as of block 437,000.

It was a scam from the beginning.

People should avoid premined coins.

It was an orchestrated multi-level scam project mixed with pump and dump scheme.

Im very sorry for people who bought this coin on the pumped peak - they will never get their money back.

I was trying to warn the community on discord but no one wanted to hear me back then - when people wants profit they become argument-proof... But now they see who was right...

Is Grimm    https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/grimm associated with this? Also if it is, will there be anymore development for Grimm in the foreseeable future?

MWC | Current development : Non Interactive Transactions (NIT) on mimblewimble protocol!

For the ease of use, MWC is adopting Non Interactive Transactions (NIT) which is currently in development and should be released at the end of 2021. FYI MWC currently use Interactive Transaction (IT), for most of experienced nerds, those would not pose any problems, but for the vast majority of crypto users who are used to transactions method like Bitcoin, it will! And that's why MWC community decided to develop NIT, it will increase a lot overall the usability of the Mimblewimble protocol while keeping every aspect of scalability and privacy... This is a very exciting features coming soon!

MWC and Atomic swap with BTC-BCH-DOGE-LTC-ZEC-DASH

As of right now, the GUI wallets of MWC already support atomic swap with BTC and BCH (very easy and smooth users experience, you should try it). As far I'm aware, there will be soon support release for DOGE-LTC-ZEC-DASH-ETH-ERC20 stable coin and more... Personally, i would like to see the most is MWC/XMR, i'm trying to make it accepted by the community, it would be really nice among all others assets that will be already supported Smiley By the way, there's already support for MWC/BTC Atomic Swap with segwit and multisig address.

If you are not familiar with atomic swap in general, it means that you can safely make OTC with someone without trusted third-party, it removes the need of escrow, exchanges etc for the prices you wish.
Atomic Swap Marketplace

A decentralized atomic swap marketplace is as well on the planning to reinforce the user experience on atomics swap, it will help to pool all the bids and asks, and let choose the users to have more offers or to look for a candidate in Atomics swap bids&asks channel.

Thoughts on the MWC initial supply

The supply of cryptocurrency can be created in many different ways. For example, it can be purely proof of work mined, a result of a fork, created in a genesis block or other ways. Some people may attach their personal, yet irrelevant to others, moral judgment to the means of supply creation. No matter how the initial and other supply is created the price discovery process must proceed with buyers, sellers and holders participating 24/7/365 in the orderbooks.

Praxeology, the study of human action, does not attach moral judgments to human action or prices. Prices describe past behaviour but future prices are totally dependent on the subjective valuation from individual market participants based on how well they think the good will help satisfy their desires.

With gold the market does not attach personal sentiment to how the stock was created or distributed despite extremely immoral history, like the Spanish conquistadors. Likewise, with Bitcoin the market does not attach personal sentiment to how the stock was created or distributed despite some people thinking it will boil the oceans by using too much electricity and not being ‘green’ enough. If they do not want to buy Bitcoin for that reason, as the meme says, they can have fun staying poor.

What are the main difference between GRIN and MWC?

MWC is fork of Grin code base which takes it's own path. I would say MWC is more focused on the usability, privacy than Grin which aim to stay on the minimalism of the Mimblewimble protocol.

I outlined some important difference from my opinion between Grin and MWC in the table below.

MWCGrin
Max supplyLimited to 20M MWC for everUnlimited supply, 1 Grin per second for ever
Block Time1 minute1 minute
Proof of workCuckatoo31Cuckatoo32+
Distribution Schedulehttps://www.mwcprice.com/ see the bottom of the webpage60 Grin per block for ever
Transactions methodfile/http/Tor/Slatepacks/NIT soon. Adopting Non-Interactive Transactions for the ease of use at the end of 2021Tor/Slatepacks , Stay with Interactive Transactions
Developers Fees250k MWC and you can assume all of them were sold already - Initially it was 2M + (hodl program until mi-june:250k) MWC but were gave back to the MWC holders in September 2020. At the moment, MWC developers are working thanks to the community donations.None
Airdrops6M MWC Airdrop to Bitcoin HoldersNone
Holders Program2M + 2M MWC of the developers fees gave to MWC holders in 2020 - No more Holder program MWC can be distributed, they were all.None
Genesis Blocks10M MWC (6M airdrops + 4M distributed to MWC holders)60 Grin
Atomic swapBTC, BCH, DOGE, ZEC, DASH and more coming soon...In work
Decentralized Market PlaceDecentralized market place to buy and sell MWC with coin supported in atomics swap.None
Link-abilityIn workIn work
GUI WalletsMWC-QT-WALLET - Core officialGrin++ , Niffler
Mobile WalletsMWC Wallet (Android only)Ironbelly, Grin++

With NIT, there will be already bigger difference in the code base. I expect to have more difference between both in the protocols as time pass. In my opinion, MWC is more comfortable to work and adopt new things in its protocol than Grin.
