Higher post count for newbies until something is better thought out.   Just allow the Newbie section to have two sections, maybe one tech side and the other currency.

I'm still well under 50 posts. I must have gotten whitelisted at some point. Anyway, post counts are a terrible metric to use to try to bring up the quality of a forum. It's just a mechanism to make sock puppet-creation painful.

If we want better, more substantive threads, we need some kind of regulation... stricter rules, subforums with strong enforcement of subject matter, mods carrying bigger hammers, that kind of thing. I don't know if all that effort would be worth it.

Just because Canada can't handle losing a sports game doesn't mean the rest of the world is 4chan irl.
Name 10 differences between you and a canadian. We're the same people that split over 15.000 years ago from Africa. We have a lot in common. We find it easier to steal, destroy and deface things than to build them.

I think the main difference between America and Canada is that America goes to other countries to steal, destroy, and deface them. And our riots overseas last 10+ years. Top that Mr. America's Hat!  Tongue

That was not my request. I asked what is different between you as an individual and a canadian citizen. Do you have 3 balls and he has just one?

Also, that picture is not from Canada, it's from Europe G20 summit. The idea is we share some common psychological traits, and we tend to converge onto using them when we gather up en masse.

That means "this forum" is not a specific case of a forum becoming vandalized by anonymous users akin to how 4chan boards operate, but "any forum" will converge to the same quality and flow of content.

I can think of plenty of long-running forums that haven't started turning into 4chan.

Why? Because moderators flail the banhammer all the time?
