Did you write your name wrong or when you were to open account did you write your name wrong on purpose so that it remained anonymous?

many people do not register with their real names, but when the time comes to deliver documents they get into trouble, it will be difficult for them to believe that you wrote their name wrong once you could have realized this and you could have created another account with Your real name

What if the name would be Donald Duck? Something that they couldn't take seriously to be somebody's real name. I just tested what was that 'basic verification' thing all about (with a cartoon name) and then of course the basic verification failed and am not able to do it again. Does this mean I've lost several bitcoins?

Informations asked on basic verification are verified through bittrex pubic record's provider and not all people's personal information are there. That's the main reason why most basic verifications fails which is why if it happens to you, you will be redirected to enhanced verification. But in your case, since you put a fake name obviously it will fail. On the other hand, If a person really has that kind of name, it wouldn't be a problem as long as you can verify it by documents of course.

It depends on you. If you want an access to your coins, you will have to go through enhanced verification although with bittrex current situation there's no guarantee because there's a lot of people who are enhanced but still get 0BTC withdrawal limit. But you have no choice anyway unless you want to donate your coins.

they gone scam
Nope, they are not scamming people. The problem is for those who cant verify themselves. Bittrex have to protect themselves too from being used by money launderers and they have to comply with the local regulations. It's a legit business and its about money, so they have to be strict with the people they are dealing with.

Now that would be a nice statement Bittrex could do to de-escalate the situation. But the whole silence is not helping this issue.

I know ppl say Bittrex is not a scam, maybe it is not but it sure appears as one. They are not solving verification issues for over 2 weeks. For some ppl it has been months. That is clearly irresponsible.

I wouldnt advise anyone to deposit money without having his/her account verified first. If I knew this before, i sure as hell wouldnt deposit anything.

Yet Poloniex will let unverified users withdraw up to $2,000 worth of crypto per day, and they are also in the US.

The Bittrex claim is BS, they are just trying to lock up funds.

Aside from waiting for their response, you could try following up your ticket number in their twitter account and not here because from what I know the staffs are inactive here, it's no use.

Here is an example of a lucky guy who got a response from them (He had a similar problem): https://twitter.com/BittrexExchange/status/934499584260186112.
Try to be the first one to comment on their new tweets.

The Bittrex claim is BS, they are just trying to lock up funds.

That is if the user made his account a long time ago before polo changed their policies. If you will create a new account now, you will not be able to trade unless you verify your account.

But I seconded that bittrex seems so suspicious with their current actions. I understand that they also changed their policies but the way they handled it is so unprofessional
