The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I was just looking for the same thing. I've used prohashing.com and right now hash-to-coins.com

Prohashing is pretty good, i usually make about 20% more than on lightcoinpool and you can choose which coins to be paid in, which is nice. That being said, they have a lot of downtime, which is annoying. I'm trying out hash-to-coins.com now. They pay you in whatever you mine, which I kind of like, but it makes everything a bit more complicated.

Multipool is another popular one, but I've never used it
