It's good to buy some low price altcoins now because i think they are riding in the bitcoin and selling their alts to ready in the upcoming fork. but i think all altcoins will be back on its price once the fork is done. It's just my observation from the previous fork bch.
Wait for 2 more days I think still the altcoin price will come down. Yes now people rushing to buy bitcoins for next fork but don't know what will be the price for bitcoin gold. if it goes one decent price like how BCH did when it launched then it is profit for those who bought bitcoins or else it is a loss because after this fork again the bitcoin price will come down. May be wait a little more that 2 days. There are another hardfork of BTC in November, don't forget about it. And only after that alt's may go up. Only some of them  |

So you are saying there is another fork in Nov? i thought its on 25 Oct, am talking about the Bitcoin Gold fork. |

How can you predict which one will survive. IMHO BTC will be one of them |

Could you explain how in your opinion a hardfork affects "all" altcoin prices?
Doesn't really make sense to me.
people dump alt for btc. you know this hardfork give free bitcoin gold, so they will try to get free Gold by buying Bitcoin or exchange their alt People dump alts for bitcoin indeed and bitcoin is deciding the movement of the alts, this shows that the markets are in a very young stage, in the future hopefully every (good)coin will move its own way, also there is not much known about bitcoin gold, some people say that screeshots were taken at the beginning of this month and that the bitcoin gold will come to those people only, also there are in my vision not much exchanges listing bitcoin gold. |

Based on the market trends, it would be a good time to buy alt coins since its price is somehow going lower. However, it depends on the risk you want to take on holding it because it may take time before you're investment would be realized in the sense that it can't be said when its prices would go up for it to be considerable to be traded or sold, thus where the profit would come in.

Yes this is good time to buy the your favorite altcoin because all coin are at their low price.And this low price will not give chance to buy again.Today,So many coins have come back to near the launching price.Now a day,if any person can invest bitcoin now then he should take a step to buy altcoin and wait for profit.At this time no body should not to sell their coin at low price or on loss.This is not good decision to sell coin at now.

There will for sure a lot of volatility in the coming weeks depending on how bitcoin price will react to the November (2X) fork. It can be convenient to buy some alts but it will be difficult to determine the bottom

it's probably the right time to buy bitcoin because almost all altcoin prices are going down drastically, as some investors and traders try to switch to bitcoin to take advantage of this November hardfork event that has an impact on the decline in altcoin prices in the market.

Yes a lot of the people are selling their coin and they are getting in the bitcoin now because the value and the price of the bitcoin is better than the other coins, people are ready to invest the money in the altcoins but they are aware of it that the money will be more than this, I hope the value and the importance of the bitcoin is increasing and the price will be high to get the profit. |

Definitely the time to start buying! In all the craziness with bitcoin's price skyrocketing, this is going to trickle down to the altcoins and we're going to see a market recovery here pretty soon. I already have some gains in my personal investments, after a long few weeks of losses. Very glad to see that we're going to be back to healthy growth soon enough.
