I thought that bitcoin would reach this mark by the end of the month, but seeing that it costs 5000 dollars today, I was very happy. It's just an incredible price increase.

Makes me want to cry after having sold BTC at $3300. Anyway, the $5000 mark is indeed a great accomplishment, I am dumbfounded by seeing it. It's a psychological barrier which makes you consider selling, the thought of "How high can it go?" concerns you. At $4000 I also thought the same, have a look at it now, it's over $5000. I might sell some of my mining earnings at least. Wouldn't sell all of it now.

Imho, the problem of this price pump is as it happened in seconds/minutes. A well organized pump that makes BTC & Crypto overall looks bad regardless of its price tag.

I just checked Bitfinex and its currently trading above $5000 now (currently $5100). Hope this is sustainable though. Expect a lot of press release later above this new milestone that has been reach. 

No, it's not $ 5000, it's $ 52xx at the current time. Bitcoin is really a great coin. Its potential is infinite. That is why it has always been the king of the virtual money market.

Probably wont stay there for long when the hard fork comes they'll be skeptics but  now we have broken 5000 i believe we'll see a swift return to that figure after everything settles down

Everyone feels the same way. Many people have regretted it because they sell bitcoin when the price is in the 3000 $ range. look at the current price of bitcoin has reached 5300 $ and still have a chance to increase again. I also experienced the same thing, I regret selling bitcoin a few months ago. I regret not being a part of bitcoin users who can sell bitcoins above 5000 $. this is a miracle and can also be a way to reach the dreams of bitcoin users who still keep bitcoin in their wallet. they are free to sell at this time or wait until bitcoin prices increase again.

Hopefully the value of BTC maintains it's new height, and hopefully people dont start selling out their BTC just because it reached this milestone, or it can make BTC fluctuate and maybe bring it a bit down! Maybe after the forks, and if everything works out smoothly, we will see $6000 still this year!

Actually, if things work out smoothly I foresee us hitting $6k or close to before the first fork or immediately after the first fork and this will apparently set a new record. I am quite optimistic though and I really wish it can keep up like this for now until another huge push. However, a new resistance level will surely kick in at some point and we will just keep watching as we HODL.

Right after the FUD effect fade, I feel that Bitcoin will reach $5000 again.  The news from China of opening exchanges for licensed operator, the upgrade implementing segwit2x and the fork.  That definitely signals bullish Bitcoin and hyper speculation due to buying bitcoin means extra coin on the minor chain.  Traders care only profit so they just want to get as many Bitcoin as possible before the fork.  It is a win win situation if he is to hold the main chain coin for a long time and sell the minor chain coin for profit.

I was explaining yesterday how I didn't see the price break through the $5000 mark in the short term, but I have been proven wrong with that, and that much sooner than I expected, but I am not afraid to admit that I was wrong.

In this case there are no losers, assuming that you are hodling some coins already. As we speak, there is a massive 1400BTC buy wall at $5188, which points at how much confidence that entity has in the current market.

I can't even imagine how it must feel to just have that amount just aside for trading purposes. I am happy that I can say that I have been holding my coins pretty firmly throughout the years, and will definitely continue to do so.

Yes it is obviously a great news for bitcoin holders. I think it keeps still increasing price. Though there is chance to down price for Bitcoin fork. Seems that it will be recovered very soon and Bitcoin will hit biggest price.

$5200! I'm shocked to see it since the last price before I sleep was around $4800. We might be heading to $6000 by 1st quarter next year. Can't wait for the upcoming months! I'm excited

That is very good news. I have seen that bitcoin price reach $5300 today.
I am very happy when i know that. I never saw bitcoin price was increased up to 10% since i used bitcoin.
I am very sure that bitcoin price will reach $6000 or above in end of this year.

Already 5300, and I'm just shocked! Bitcoin pleasantly surprises us and I hope that this will continue for a very long time. Someone said that bitcoin can reach 7000 dollars. I'm waiting for it!

Although past performance can't guarantee future results, we can't take away the chances that price decrease is always associated whenever there was a continous price increase. It was bound to happen and the only thing to wait is how far it will goes down.

It seems to me that, before October 25 when the expectations of the users of bitcoin get free coins will be very high and the price of bitcoin will be at the top look for fall. If you sell 1 bitcoin for 1-1,5 dollars more than it will cost after the fork. It will be more profitable than to keep it and get a few free coins the price of which will be at the level of a few cents.

That's true, we've all been there, I'm trying not to remember having sold even at $300. However, Bitcoin has received plenty of media coverage the last few months. It's becoming one of the best investment choices, chosen by influential people, even in Wall Street. All these news flocking have a positive effect on the price. I've started to believe that the best has yet to arrive for Bitcoin.
