Electrum not opening in Windows 10

Hi!

I started out using the android app wich i think is wonderful. After a week i downloaded the latest desktop version.

The set Up:

- automatic server "yes"
- create new wallet from seed "yes"
- entering the correct seed "yes"
- create password and tic the box for encrypt files "yes"

After this it loads for about 5 seconds and the electrum window shuts down never making it into the wallet.

I have tried to delete the appdata and reinstall but same thing happens.
The only antivirus program i have running is w.defender.

I am hoping someone can help me.

Possibly a permissions error... have you tried running the application as administrator?

You might also want to try downloading the portable version as a test, and run it from a non-system directory (like in your downloads folder or something) and see if that works.
