 We're building a small test network and want to improve our understanding of how we can optimize security between nodes.  For this we've started with the SOCKS5 proxy
  (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Running_Bitcoin)

 I'd be curious if others on the list have worked with this.  Any experiences that can be shared?
