I wanted to mine since last year but a lot of people said GPU and CPU time is dead. I gave up straight away. This year I decided to give it ago before I spend real money on rigs clouds whatever else is out there. I wanted to experience and see how hard it is mining coins!! I'm not that good with codes or computer, but I'm a good learner. Anyway, I downloaded '' minerd'' And Cryptonote miner'' I started with ByteCoins mining using CPU as my GPU was never detected by any mining software. While mining ByteCoins I found out I was mining around 50 - 70 per day with 1 miner running. After 1 week. I had what I call a decent amount, as My bank balance would never look so rich.I got excited and I started to look for exchange markets for bytecoin which was very hard to find but I found one that would convert them to DOGE Coins, BITCOINS and LITE COINS. which was perfect for me because the rest of the Exchange markets accepted all 3 of those as the main currency to buy other smaller Coins. Exchanging ByteCoins to Doge coins gave me back 2X as much which made me happier!!. I took my focus off Bitcoin and Litecoin and focused on those currencies I was happy working with. Now I have over 11 wallets with decent balances, including mice coin which I have around Total: 6669116921.25000000 MICE I earned converting around only 5 DOGE COINS. I also have over 2000 Doubloon which is worth 10x as much today. My QuantumVort has 23k. My advice to people wanting to mine and moving away because they don't want to invest in equipment until they understand what cryptocurrency is and how mining works. please read above. Try it out! it's worth loosing £1 electric a month than losing £2000 worth of rig and finding out it's not your thing.

Oh ok, I will try your method of mining by downloading cryptonote miner. Can you help me with that. Because I am not good in technical stuff like connecting to mining pools etc. How much profit you make by mining this in your pc a month? I always use minergate to mine the cryptonote currencies because its easy to mine using it. Don't have any tension of connecting it to any pool as it is already connected.

Cryptonote is easy to use just like microsoft paint Smiley

once downloaded extract to any location. open folder find file called wallet.address.txt open it and paste ur bytecoin address.
then open CryptoNoteMiner.exe and put host pool as '' Bytecoin.UK '' and pick pool host: Easy 3333 press start mining make sure to pick CPU CORES I use 3 somtimes 4.

on bytecoin website paste ur key at the bottom of the page to see mining progress, updated very 2mins

other way is edit

config.ini

pool_host=bytecoin.uk
pool_port=3333
cores=4

you should see this.
