I believe that without honesty now you will not live well in this world.I am sure that everything is exaggerated and there are people who are honest always

Even if people want to be honest there are some situation when they can't be honest.People don't really do any dishonesty thing willingly

We are in an era where honesty is no more rewarded or acknowledged. we are too much result oriented and thus we do everything ignoring honesty to achieve those results. honesty is now seen as a weakness.

Very true. Honesty is now considered a very repulsive trait by most people. Being honest and plain tend to hurt a lot of people even when you are just trying to get the best out of them. You have to soften the edges and hope they catch your drift.

There are many reasons to be not honest. Such as actual social systems, wrong characteristics, uneducation etc. Unsatisfactory is one of the most reason of them. Self satisfaction if people can't carry on their own life style and behavior they turn to dishonest.

Everyone commit the same mistakes in unnoticed situation and weather. Everybody fall to fulfil the words they are spoken. There is no exempted on this situation. We are all the same, we commit lie, we did mistakes. The good thing in our mistakes we are able to learn from experienced and can make self better. 1. Ketika posisi kita terancam (misal: akan dibunuh) pastinya kita akan menggunakan akal untuk berpikir agar terlepas dari maut. Bagaimana caranya? Yaitu dengan berbohong. Siapa tau dengan kita berbohong, kita tidak jadi dibunuh.
2. Mengharapkan sesuatu
Ketika kita meminta sesuatu kepada orang tua terkadang tidak terpenuhi karena alasan yang sebenarnya ada landasannya. Akan tetapi bagi anak yang tidak mau berpikir, mereka terpaksa berbohong agar keinginannya terpenuhi, misal: menginginkan handphone baru. Sang anak berpura-pura berkata kepada orang tuanya kalau handphone-nya hilang. Padahal, sebenarnya handphone-nya ia jual. Dengan demikian orang tua-pun akan menyanggupi apa keinginan dari anaknya.
3. Meyakinkan orang lain
Disaat pacaran, pasti ada masanya pertengkaran terjadi. Dimana salah satu pihak menginginkan hal tersebut tidak berlangsung berkelanjutan. Dan disitulah terkadang banyak orang menggunakan cara berbohong untuk mengakhiri pertikaian yang tak kunjung berhenti.
4. Kebiasaan
Berbohong bisa menjadi sebuah kebiasaan dalam hidup seseorang. Dengan banyak melakukan kebiasaan tersebut ia akan merasakan kesenangan tersendiri. Bahkan dengan perbuatan dan sikapnya itu, ia bisa memiliki banyak teman. Jadi, kita harus berhati-hati dalam menjalin hubungan dengan seseorang.
5. Menjadi juara
Menjadi seorang juara harusnya menunjukkan sikap sportif. Tapi sayangnya, demi mengharapkan hadiah yang baginya sangat berharga terkadang dengan cara burukpun ia lakukan. Entah dengan kecurangan dan kebohongan yang ia rahasiakan sendiri.
6. Tidak percaya diri
Ketidakpercayaan diri inilah salah satu penyebab yang membuat seseorang harus rela untuk berani berbohong. Ia takut apabila yang dilakukannya jujur, orang disekitarnya akan memandang sebelah mata. Misalkan saja dengan berpura-pura menjadi orang kaya.
7. Menyelamatkan orang lain
Inilah kebohongan yang tidak membuahkan dosa. Dimana seseorang berpura-pura mengatakan kebohongan untuk menyelamatkan orang lain yang ia ketahui bahwa orang tersebut memang tidak bersalah. Dengan begitu, orang yang ia selamatkan bisa terbebas dari hukuman yang harusnya tidak pernah ada.
8. Menutupi kelemahan
Seorang pembohong pintar bermain kata. Apa yang telah ia ucapkan terkadang begitu meyakinkan. Seakan-akan semua kalimat yang ia lontarkan adalah sebuah kebenaran bagi orang lain. Pada dasarnya kebohongan yang ia lakukan demi menutupi kelemahannya.
9. Meningkatkan kepopuleran
Banyak artis yang ingin populer menggunakan cara yang terbilang wajar bagi mereka. Membuat berita hoax seakan-akan mengalami hal buruk yang membuat masyarakat biasa menjadi simpati kepada mereka. Dan ternyata, hal yang menurut mereka wajar ini benar-benar sukses dan dapat mendongkrak angka kepopuleran.
10. Mencari untung
Mana ada seorang pedagang menjual produknya dengan cara yang jujur. Pasti mereka menggunakan kebohongan dalam meraup keuntungan. Kalau berjualan jujur, ya kapan untungnya?
11. Mencuri uang rakyat
Ini adalah pengalaman seorang koruptor. Para tikus menjijikan ini seenaknya sendiri menipu masyarakat dengan membuat segala macam program pro rakyat. Yang ternyata keuntungannya ia rasakan sendiri tanpa melihat tingkat kesejahteraan rakyat yang masih hidup dibawah garis kemiskinan.
12. Mengukur kesetiaan
Kesetiaan bisa apa saja, entah: persahabatan, pacaran, hubungan suami istri, kesetiaan pegawai, kelompok lain, dan lainnya. Jadi, disini kita berpura-pura berbohong untuk menguji seseorang maupun kelompok lain agar kita tahu seberapa besar kesetiaan mereka atau seberapa peduli mereka dengan diri kita. Niatnya mungkin hanya mau nge-tes, tapi kebohongan seperti ini bisa menimbulkan perpecahan kalau pihak lain merasa dipermainkan dan kita tidak meminta maaf jika ketahuan bohong.

People can't be honest with each other. Everyone has their own interests and they defend them. There are certainly decent and honest people, but they are very few.

People try to gain all kind of advantages by any means and the laq of honesty is one of it. It is hard to be a person with a strong clean character so that is  why they should be more appreciated.

For my own opinion, some people are not honest maybe because they have deeper reasons or they want to hide something from you so they make words that can be interpreted as true.  I think not all alibi is bad,  sometimes being not honest is the best way to save yourself from people. It is only depends in how people being not honest.  They have their reasons why.
