Welcome to ChainThis!

https://chainthis.com/

ChainThis is a new solution that makes blockchain oracles idea to the easy-to-use tool.
ChainThis project launched from October, 9.
Now you can post your message or response for API-request at a current time to Ethereum blockchain by a couple of clicks.

How does it work?
ChainThis acts as a geeky mailman that transfers messages from you to blockchain with high precision. Let’s follow the process step by step.
  • Create your Oracle, which can be a message (Data type) or an API request
  • Choose the time you want us to start publishing the Oracle. If you would like to be notified on the status updates, add your email.
  • ChainThis guarantees that we will start the execution of your Oracle timely, but the actual timeframe would depend on the blockchain conditions at a specific moment.
  • Transfer the fee for the Oracle to the generated address. Fee depends on the size of the data you are going to publish.
  • Check back when the time is due and find your footprint on the blockchain.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

ChainThis's main goal is integrating Oracles and blockchain technologies into real life. The first case we are exploring in our post onMedium is how Oracles could improve delivery services both for clients and companies.

In short, Oracles can be used as logs for every step of delivery, creating a tamper-proof record on the blockchain, providing customers and delivery supervisors with 100% reliable information.

We are discovering more ways to introduce Oracles into businesses through ChainThis. Betting services can benefit greatly by obtaining the betting results via Oracles. Here is how it can work:

1. Bets are placed
2. The betting service creates an Oracle containing the API request or a message with the conditions of a bet
3. At the due time, the Oracle with the results is published on the blockchain
4. Anybody can check the accuracy of the outcome

Read more on how the Oracles can be incorporated into betting platforms in our post on Medium.

ChainThis can improve the reliability of ICOs and startups by verifying their roadmaps on every step. This will help the general image of the startup and potentially help to find more investors and encourage the community to offer support. Here is how it works:

1. A company posts information about its development goals, team and other important data to blockchain via ChainThis Oracles.
2. ChainThis Oracles with preset conditions verify the roadmap and publish data about your progress timely.
3. Any party involved or interested in the project can check it and be sure it hasn’t been amended.

To learn more about this opportunity, visit our official Medium page.

Explore a better way to control cargo shipments with blockchain Oracles by ChainThis. If the whole process is logged in a secure way that oracles can provide, the risks plummet, helping companies save time and money.

How it works:
1. Cargo is shipped by a carrier company
2. Every stage of the shipment is logged via ChainThis Oracles
3. Records are kept on the blockchain with full access at any point in time

Details on our Medium post.

We have prepared a step-by step guide to teach you how to create blockchain Oracles with ChainThis like a pro! Full version available on our Medium page. Follow along:

Step 1 is deciding what you would like to share. It can either be a simple text message like “Here is my first Oracle! Hooray!” or, if you are looking for more complex use of Orcales, a URL request.

1. Access the Oracle creation page

2. Depending on the type of information you want to share, do the following.

– To publish a simple text message, enter the message in the first field from the top.
– To publish a URL request response, enter the URL in the first field from the top. Check the response in the larger field below. In case you need to copy or save the response in .txt format, click the buttons on the right.

You can also set an approximate size of the Oracle if you expect it to be greater than shown in example and choose a specific destination address for it.

In the bottom of the page you’ll see the fee for your Oracle. Proceed to Step 2.

3. Here you can choose the time when you want us to publish the Oracle. It’s worth noting that we will start publishing it at the selected time, the rest depends on the time required for processing. The available options are:

– Now – the publishing process will start right after we receive from you the fee for the Oracle. Your message will be published in the shortest time possible.
– Tomorrow – in this case ChainThis will initiate posting the following day at 00:00 according to the selected time zone. For example, if you create an Oracle on December, 31, we’ll start publishing it as soon as the new year begins in the time zone you chose.
– Custom date – this option gives you complete freedom: you can choose specific date and time within any time zone and schedule your Oracle to be posted in months or years from the moment you create it.
– Block height – as soon as the block you’ve entered is reached, ChainThis will start publishing the Oracle.

On this step you can also leave your email for tracing the Oracle’s progress. We will send you updates a certain stage in Oracle’s posting process is reached and as soon as it’s published, a link to see the result.

4. The last step is payment for your Oracle. We offer several convenient methods: you can just transfer the money to the generated address directly from your wallet, transfer the required amount converting it through a widget on the payments page or even pay with USD or EUR if you contact us at partners@chainthis.com.

That’s it! As soon as we receive the money, we’ll do the rest. Just wait for your Oracle to be published and stay on the blockchain for the centuries to come. If you have any questions for us, do not hesitate to contact us at support@chainthis.com.
