You bought the good coins that time but its your bad luck that the market of these coins dropped sharply even I am also holding Digibyte & Stratis & I have no plans to sell these coins in hurry. I don't want to book losses. I have patience to hold these coins as I am thinking these both coins will rise again in future & I would suggest you to buy more in lows & calculate the average and then sell at profits.

Hey there

In june & July I bought Digibyte & Stratis & Siacoin with all my bitcoins, till now I lost almost 80%

What can I do, HOLD or Sell or What!
I don't think that you have any other option than holding, selling is not even an option. The thing is even if you decide that you will be selling your altcoins for a loss, how are you going to recover the 80% that you have lost already? What I would advice you to do is to just hold, those altcoins will definitely recover soon, and you might probably make profit even. You are not the only investor experiencing a loss, a lot of us do, never sell for a loss.

I'm sorry to hear that.

The "good news" is - you are still afloat, it's not that you lost everything.

And when looking at absolute dollar amount, you are maybe down 40-50% ?

I've also purchased a lot of alts, I try not to beat myself too hard... It was a speculative bet, I took some risks, shit happens.

I'm really sorry, I wish everyone around me (including me) was prosperous.

Lots of different advice. But always remember, you will only lose or gain when you actually sell.
Hold on to them, youre so deep in the red that its not worth recovering.
Start over, takenwhat you learned and set aside a small percentage of your income

i would sell, at least Digibyte and Siacoin. The time you spend bagholding and waiting for it to go up again, you can spend better by
investing in profitable projects. Put some in OMG, some in KNC, ZRX and participate in some pump and dumps (max 20%), currently it is Metaverse. Make sure to get out in time.

If you do sell out now then you will only get 20% on your total capital which isnt justifiable. If that thing would be on my case i would rather hold up those coins and forget them.Take the risk on here 80% negative would really make you panic but you cant do anything about it which you are already floating on negative side.Just let it go and focus into another coins or just solely on bitcoins.

Probably worst thing that you can do now is panic and let your emotions make you sell now at loss. Just hold on and stay true to your investment if you believe in projects that you invested in and just be patient.

Coins that are currently dumped will get back on track probably after Bitcoin hard fork that’s happening on October 25th. Just be patient and don’t sell now. Some altcoins might be a great long term investment, especially when they get mass adopted.

I will advise you hold for now since you have already gotten so deep in most of them. Looking at some of the altcoin charts, they have gone extremely bad even as low as 120%. I have me one of them. However, I am planning to hold most of them anyway since they are good coins and I know even not now, after a while they will bounce back even if the wait is going to take like forever at this stage, I really don't care and if it gets more worst, I just accept my fate and move on.

Just wait till the end of Bitcoin fork. When it ends most of traders will return to ATLs so, you'll have a chance to get back you funds.

Just HOLD them until you get what you invested.

I think so, HOLD is the best choice right now, every altcoin goes down due to bitcoin's hard fork, people sell altcoin for snapshot of bitcoin gold. So cutting loss or buying more, it is your choice. Mine is holding.

Probably the hype is too high for these coins especially for Stratis. After the fork these coins will definitely recover, but the question is by how much?

First of all, learn from your mistake. Don't sell all your BTC and never when these other coins are at all time highs. Secondly, just HODL them, they are bound to spike again one day, but this could be a year away. Hodl and sell them back to BTC in the future. All is not lost, yet.

Rule number one when investing is not to keep something that goes down.
It depends on what coin it is and what the coin does. Just because Bitcoin forks, it doesn't mean that all the altcoins will get pumped.
