Bittrex seems like a legitimate business. However, at this particular case they have messed up.

First of all, there is no point disabling an account once it reaches this limit. Simply do not allow withdrawal in this case. Why disable the account?

Secondly, when you see there is a massive issue, you do not make an announcement just to ease those who have not their accounts disabled. This is mostly amateur business. It's like you do not care for all the disabled accounts or at the very least, you make a clear discern among your clients.

Third, by the time you write an announcement you must write the full truth. Whichever this is. I don't see any truth. In fact, I do not see any reason in their statement.

Four, you need to make quick amendment. Especially in crypto world. This is going on for too long.

Five, there is no country specific disable. These sound like cheap rumors. I have heard people from the US having their accounts disabled. I even heard people who were verified that got disabled.

So to conclude, if Bittrex does not want to ruin their reputation they need to act before it is too late. No one is happy when they cannot do anything with their account just because an automatic limit excuse or an excuse of an investigation has been used. You can't go far with this. And I hope Bittrex goes far because we are in need of good exchanges and they have shown attributes of being good.

It's never late to admit a messup and fix things up. The first step is to get down from your high horse.

All these reports of disabled accounts are ominous and worrying. If they are a proper exchange with solid management and operational controls, resolving these account issues should be doable and feasible. Instead they seem to be oblivious and unaffected by all the pending tickets and open complaints. The won’t even try to explain to affected users what’s going on or assure them that their funds are safe and secure.

This is bad management and bad service quality. And this makes them an exchange to avoid if you value your crypto assets. Why entrust an untrustworthy exchange with your coins? They hold and control the private keys and the way they treat their clients is despicable. Their clients are made to wait for an eternity of uncertainty.

Bittrex finally replied after...a week? I have a complete verified "enhanced" account. They now ask for verification. Did that, now waiting for reply - maybe for another week?

At least Bittrex support is answering the question and replying to us. After verification we can happy trade again in Bittrex, may be they are looking for future purpose and reducing the withdrawal to the members.

Bittrex blocks user accounts without legit reason, it is really frustrating, would be appreciated if someone from Bittrix come and answer this questions.
It is really bad for their reputation, already everyone knows about their bad behavior.

Before it Chinese governments shut down a lot of exchanges, I cant estimates how much investors hurt by these decisions. I think best lesson for us is to use only decentralized and open exchanges.

Yes China is another dictatorship country, but shutting down an exchange is acceptable but stealing or locking money is not acceptable at all!
USA stoled BTC-E money too, and now bittrex is locking our money for spying on us!
Anyway till a good decentralized exchange start working, the best way is using other countries exchanges. (anything except China and USA)

6 days already passed after I submitted the info they asked for , and still my account is disabled and support hasn't reached me out yet
got an auto update for my ticket saying that they have a lot of tickets , let me quote it

My account disabled no reason. I contact support. you want some document. i sent but my acoount still disabled 7 days and support no answer. Worst exchange bittrex. No reason no support and  no warning message
no refund. i want back my bitcoins.

I have completed Basic and Enhanced verification and replied to their support queries in the open ticket. No result. I cannot trade and my funds are locked in.

I am considering filing a complaint with the Nevada Attorney General. This approach has worked for other bad companies who have scammed me in America and if enough of us do it, it will get some attention.

Looks like Bittrex account story is not done yet. My account needs to be verified, enhanced level. Not sure, if is safe give them all personal docs, but other way, what else t do here, if I like to continue my trade there, all was fine for many years, now needs to be more secure.
