You should just return it to him. This account and your other one is useless with the negative trust right now. If anyone is at fault it's you for buying a dodgy account and the only thing you can do to make this right is return it to the rightful owner and take your losses.

You're essentially handling stolen goods and you're at fault not the op. If the police confiscate something you have purchased that was stolen they'd laugh at you if you demanded a replacement. This account is useless to you now so do the right thing and give it back to the owner and accept that you got ripped off in a bad deal but the op doesn't deserve to suffer because of this.

I'm not wrong. You're guilty of buying a stolen account. That's still a crime whether you knew it was stolen or not. Sure, it's not as bad as straight up stealing it yourself but you're still handling stolen goods which is a crime and usually carries punishment. You're not trying to help the owner either as you're trying to extort him. You have something that doesn't belong to you so you should give it back and take the losses. That's the right thing to do. This account is useless as long as you have it so it's worthless to you. Stop trying to make him pay for something where you're at fault.

Please follow that to sign a message from a staked address. Without any proof that you own the account it almost certainly won't be recovered.
