DIVX is a place holder till mainnet is ready. After launch(Q2 2018) Divi will be its own custom blockchain.

Masternodes will be available after mainnet launch next year, right now DIVX is just a place holder. If you hold more than 1,000 DIVX in a wallet where you own your keys, you receive weekly airdrops(it's random, but on average once per week) till the launch. This is in order to encourage people to buy and hold now and not wait till Q2 2018. For me personally, an even better reason is because the price only seems to be going up, and I'd rather buy it when it's cheaper. The different categories are based on the number of coins you have, yes. More information about the airdrops as well as masternodes can be found here:

Just send them to your mew public address. I believe it was recently permanently added to mew, but if you don't see it, use the "add custom token" option. Input DIVX, contract address 0x13f11C9905A08ca76e3e853bE63D4f0944326C72 and 18 decimals and you should see it.

Current total supply is just over 6 million, however that is for DIVX. DIVI will have inflation controlled by governance once main net is launched, for right now it is correct that there will be 12.5 new coins every minute(however, 1/2 a coin gets set aside for the lottery and 10% go to the treasury) but keep in mind that can also be adjusted upwards or downwards by governance after launch. The 60 million is for the hard cap had it been reached, it's not really relevant anymore and there will be a new WP soon. Right now all that matters is Divi will be starting at around 6.2 million coins and adding another 6.6 million or so a year for the first two years, unless that's changed by governance.
