I havent sold a single altcoin yet and keep buying as much as possible for a few days. There are really good opportunities in many altcoins at the moment and Now it is a very nice time to buy. Any altcoin you buy at top #10 will bring you extra 30-40 as minimum for next 3 4 weeks.

It's very tough to beat the trend. If you are buying a dip, you are essentially buy a downtrend, very hard to pick the bottom. I recommend working off technical analysis support and resistance levels to pick entry points.

Now is not the right time to buy altcoins, I agree that they are decreasing in value but I think its better if you wait. I think it would be better if you buy a few days before the hard fork, since you might buy now and they continue dumping.

Your timing will make you benefit even more, don't forget that a lot of altcoin investors are dumping their coins to claim bitcoin gold, if you buy days before the fork, you will be able to buy lower.

This is the nature of most altcoins, nothing really last long. Their market value would only last not longer than 2 years 1 is the most ideal. Spike of prices or upward trends  only begin after 4 weeks and followed six months after its release, later the dip follows and then die and burn. If we try to track all the altcoins since the beginning only a few altcoins survives in the market the rest are dying, an altcoins without any projects or any financial backing are the one who easily fades away.

This is probably the best window to buy altcoins or even a week from now as prices will continue to drop due to the upcoming forks. If you recognize altcoins/ICOs with potential growth, this seems like an ideal time to pounce in with investments as altcoins could never get any cheaper. I'm calling late November to be the time when altcoins start gaining traction back into the green side of things with the established and potential ones performing x10's or even larger surges.

Maybe it's a good thing to buy a little when an alt is on downtrend, it's kind of difficult to spot the bottom. Personally, I do think that more than half of the alt market seems bottomish. Watch out for the top volumes as they frequently jump from price to price.

It depends on the coin. If you've seen a coin drop 35% and it's close to its all time low compared to BTC, then buy. A good example is IOTA. Altcoins have so many variables, it's not like you buy all alts at the same time. Go on coinmarketcap and sort buy "% change 24 hours", some alts are up 50%, some are down 50%.

TBH these recent series of red arrow after red arrow has put me off a lot of alts. I used to invest almost 50/50 BTC and alts, but I haven't and won't be putting any more into them for a while now. Too difficult to pick and back a winner right now.
