I'm trying to understand why are so many people against bitcoin?  is it the innovation that scares them? the feeling of staying behind? the fact that that money will go to the wrong hands?

I think many people are just not fond of change and innovation. They see bitcoin as a threat to the old system where we still use cash for every transaction. There is also a possibility that they don't feel that secure when they hear the word bitcoin and online. That is the initial reaction of my parents when I first mentioned it to them.

Here is a detailed step-by-step guide to how the events will unfold for Bitcoin (and the other cryptos) :

- Bitcoin will start dropping in value sharply
- Bitcoin promoters and investors will say that this has happened many times before
- In this forum especially all will be saying to buy because it is cheap, and many will say to hodl
- price drops further, and all promoters will keep saying we have seen this before and it is a good time to buy and hodl
- price drops further, and waiting transactions are now mounting rapidly because despite the cries of "hodl!" quite a few people want to get out. But the way Bitcoin works prevents all from exiting when they want to.
- The price to get your transactions through becomes very high, in reality meaning only people with large holdings of Bitcoin can afford to get out. And they do because they have in many cases bought at below 1000$ and therefore they want to take their profits.
- As it becomes clear price keeps declining and it is impossible to get out, the smaller investors start to panic. It is the same as being in a large building with many people and only one small fire exit when there is a fire
- Prices now decline to a level where the miners can only make money by charging very high prices for transactions
- The high prices for transactions and the low price of Bitcoin means that no smaller investors can now get out of Bitcoin
- The price stabilizes at a very low level and it is impossible for the small investors to get out as no miners can make money any more
- Nobody want to buy into Bitcoin because of the very high transaction fees
- Game over.

Those people are nit yet encountered the benefits of bitcoin in life. They are only making feedbacks in very negative way while there is no good feedbacks comes from them. They keep on telling that btc is scam but they are not yet try to get information about, they are just telling that this is scam.

People often neglects what they do not know, specially when it comes about money. It's either they become skeptical and curious or just plain judgmental that bitcoin is a scam without prior follow up research on their part. Its normal I think, because we all know how bitcoin started and how it has been used to various negative activities.

Layman's insecurity that is the reason why they hate it. They cannot hold it in their hands. It is intangible. They like holding paper, coins and plastic cards. All the old world stuff makes them feel comfortable. Bitcoin makes them uneasy and jittery. For they are not making any efforts to study it.

I agree with you. It is only because they don't have the information of bitcoins, they just ignore it and don't bother to understand it.

I think its because of the fact that bitcoin is a new thing and that it has terminologies and ends that can either break or make you. One thing to also note is that with bitcoin it offers a lot of good things but it has also a lot of fails that can scare a person

Most of them don't  trust cryptocurrency because they feel unsecured with the money they cannot hold physically. The media also play a critical role here with the several scamming stories are found across the internet. Some of them are very arrogant that they seemed to be jealous of the potential that bitcoin brought in the current market.

There are different reason's for people to hate bitcoins, Like they lost they profit in trading or some ico's did not pay the correct amount of price that they deserve. There are different ways to hate bitcoins but it does not matter to those who truly believe that there is a future in this coins.

I think the reason why some of the people doesn't care or against to the bitcoin is because they don't have knowledge about bitcoin. They should become aware to what is the really purpose of the bitcoin.

Hi there jonathan6655321! I think what you are pointing about is the appreciation of people regarding bitcoins is low. In my few years’ experience talking to people about bitcoin and cryptocurrency, no one tell me they want it to shut down. Although there are times, they won’t believe what bitcoin could do to improve lives of the community. Even government question the credibility of the blockchain system, but I think what they aim is to protect the community against the fraudulent company that sprouts and taking advantage of the anonymity of bitcoin holders. And the fact that you are saying “wrong hands” is quite true which lessen their trust to the cryptocurrency.

I think that many people are against bitcoin is because they dont really know what is bitcoin. How does it work, how do you gain money , what is its purpose and why is it built. Other reason is that they are against cryptocurrency thats why they think of bitcoin as waste or trash. I think that are the only reasons why they hate bitcoin, they dont know much about it and some have trust issues when it comes to the security of their money.

I think its more on the government they are all against in bitcoin because they don't want it to change their own currency they made I mean if the bitcoin'so popularity grows better than their own currency it can do bad for them.
