Due to the approaching hardfork and other factors Bitcoin has managed to push back the majority of alts quite a bit, but this situation could improve (seen from position as altcoin trader/holder) within a month. There isn't really any simple answer to your question. The only real way to overcome the loss from the particular coin that you mention is to hold it and hope for the best but that really depends on what the coin is and the reason for the drop.

If your coin has lost value due to the recent spike in ETH and BTC your best bet is to wait until the market corrects itself, which it will.

AS for your future investments I don't really have much advice other do your research before investing. Is the company respected? Does it solve and actual problem? Are you buying during a spike? Do they have any plans for the foreseeable future? What does their roadmap indicate regarding their plans? Have you read their white paper?

Its still not consider as loss since you didnt still sell it.As being said above if you dont still need money then better to hold it off and risk it that it might somehow increase its price later on. Recovering is possible but depending on the coin if it does really have the potential but if not then you will surely hold up those coins forever on a dump state.

Dont lose control of your emotion, it is better to HODL the coins be patient and start hoping that it will get back on top of its price. Look at this coins as your long term trading profit. Because if you are selling your coins now it will only lead to a serious lost. Anyway what coin is this? is it a random shitcoins?

Yes that is right that we should hold our bitcoin unless we feel the intense need to sell it, because bitcoin price is increasing too much and it is expected that in future the price will be trading in more high price. I think those people who are holding bitcoin for last few years they are now millionaire and even still giving them good profit, because bitcoin price is still increasing too much.

First of all there is a lot of panickness in your nature which can be predicted from your way of asking. Please be advice that you might make mistakes from such ways of getting into trades and you could exit the same at wrong time which is ain't good at all. Which coin it is by the way. If the valuation of that coin is almost zero in terms of market cap then you have probably lost it but if that's not the case then you should wait for the coin to spike again and there is nothing you can really do but just to await and watch. For future trades I will suggest you to calm yourself first and let yourself know that trade is game of patient people. :-)
