Depending on what country you're in, your best bet to buy bitcoin is on Coinbase.com; then do trading on Bittrex.com. There are other reputable exchange sites as well, but bittrex is the best in my opinion. It also has a good number of cryptocurrencies available for trading.

How do you trade? For now I suggest trading with a very small amount. 3-5% of your total holdings; just to get a feel on how the markets work and move. It would be real stupid to go all in on your first day. Best of luck!

Hi all,

I didn't want to open a new thread, so I will post in this existing one. I got into the crypto business about 2 weeks ago, and I was taken by surprise with the altcoins crashing due to the coming Bitcoin fork. How long will this depression last?

No one really knows when they will stop dropping, really. No one can make predictions with guaranteed certainty. Your best bet would be to check when the bitcoin gold fork will take place, then set a certain day when you're going to buy the coins. Then stick to your plan.

First of all if you are new to crypto trading i will recommend you to learn and practise trading first, and then go to choose the crypto acccording to you capital, because here money doesn't matter much, if you ave strong trading skills and good knowledge you can easily master the crypto trading. And yes if you cant afford bitcoin then you can choose Litecoin and Etherum, they both have good volume and volatility and they are considered as future bitcoin. For exchanges i will recommend you the Coinbase (recommended for beginner) and Bittrex (if you are choosing for trading altcoin) .

Hope this help mate Cheesy  all the best.

do your own research about your investment,
even though litecoin is affordable, does not mean it's a good investment (in my opinion).
how about just buying Bitcoin ?
you are new in cryptocurrency and i bet you do not understand how it works, right ?
every altcoin is not safe for beginner, because most of it can be manipulated easily.
even though Bitcoin too,but it's not really that easy compared to altcoin.
for the beginning try to buy Bitcoin ONLY,and feel it.
you will understand it slowly from Bitcoin market and always do your own research what will happen and what is going on with Bitcoin.
afterwards you can try to move your money to alts

Please do keep in mind that all coins are affordable. If you can afford lite coins, you can afford other coins too. You don't need to have one whole coin, you can buy fractions of coins and make profits from it.
Do your own research about the coins before you start investing. There are too many shitcoins out there. Make sure you are investing on legit coins which are unique and has an active community.

first you have to learn about trading. most of the people doing trading  now a days but you are the new to this field know so first you have to findout what is the trading and how it can deal. next you getting one good idea on that. search in google and take suggestions from your friends colics and who doing trading. then you getting one idea. finally you have to invest in bit coin. first you have to invest few amount of money in trading then you getting one idea on that next you have to invest how much you want to invest.

Well first of all,I know you have the feeling of missing out,but don't rush into trades.
Before investing do a proper research,This includes at least one month period of following news, updates and price action.
Only when you can comfortably predict the price yourself do start trading.
The second thing, investing in a coin just because it's affordable is the worst thing you can do.
After you do your due diligence and actually educate yourself a bit you'll understand why.

If you have proper skrill about trading so you can do. Otherwise, you can lose your capital. Yes, Litecoin is the potential coin. You can also invest on Ethereum, Waves. And you can trade on Bittrex.com, Ligui.io, Cryptopia.co.nz etc. Personally, I like those site. Those sites are trustable.
