Can I run the software in demo mode and see what it behaves like before I purchase?

There is an option in config file which is call: Testmode enable that and you will be able to test the market without risking your real balance

This is not however, paper trading. It will test the buy strategy, but not the sell strategy from what I understand.

In the last few days, i have checked many links on Youtube and it seems people had positive experience using Profit Trailer. I had few questions and will appreciate if someone could help me out:

1) I'm from India and would prefer avoiding too much exposure initially until i become really comfortable with the configuration settings in PT. I wanted to know whether disabling DCA will be a good idea to start with assuming my initial investment will very small (~ $50)?

2) The license fee is quite high [at least for me ] so i am worried what if the exchange goes down for any reason. Will the license get transferred to another exchange or i will have to buy another one?

1- With 50 dollars you won't be able to do anything with the bot.
2- We currently work with 3 big exchanges, if the case one closes, you will be offered a way to change exchange no problem.

I can vouch for Profit Trailer, and the add-on PT Feeder.

The are currently 9 buying strategies(based on BB, EMA, SMA) and 2 selling strategies that one can configure the bot to use.
So far, I'm satisfied with how the bot works and the web UI is fine.


The things I miss the most are a more variety of buying strategies like RSI, MACD and Fibonacci retracement.
I hope the devs will implement those in the future.

Gonna buy PT for Binance.
1) Is it better to run it on bcc or eth?
2) Do I need to get rid of all the existing alt coins I’m currently holding on binance before I start using it?
3) If I don’t use a vps does my computer need to be on all the time for it to work?
4) The PT wiki is currently offering a vps with PT preinstalled for $20\month. Is this worth it for someone that wouldn’t have a clue how to link the 2 otherwise?
5) I’m only going to have a starting balance of $500. Is it worth it. Am I likely to see any sort of worthwhile returns?

Instead of asking for settings (which by the way is common) you should take the time to learn PT and create your own stratety.
Here is a good link where you can input your settings and it will tell you where it would of bought, that way you can tweak the settings that best suit your needs.

2) Its best if you move them to other wallets, as its never a good idea to keep "hold" coins on exchanges wallet, but you can also tell the bot to ignore those hold coins.
