I will stick to Livecoin.net and Cryptopia for now to trade rare cryptos. It sucks because Bittrex got the most volume, but I dont see any other way out.

sadly i am currently looking for a replacement, i should try livecoin since i have never tested it. but cryptopia is my current choice. although you are right these other exchanges are too small with low volumes, it makes it tough to trade.

i actually was searching more for "decentralized exchanges" these past days. not been so fruitful though.

There are still not proper lightning network decentralized exchanges, we will have to wait for that to have atomic swaps, until then I don't consider any exchange decentralized. I heard bitsquare is a decentralized exchange but im not sure about that.

Hello iam in a little dumb situation rigth now
iam from third country and i have small amout of BTC in my bittrex wallet
i wanted to withdraw my BTC to my jaxx wallet but i cant because unverified accounts cant do any withdraw (unverified accounts after august 1st cant send anything)
i tried to verify my account and i sent my ID(Local ID) and selfie but it cant be verified then i submitted a request and waiting
Later i saw supported country list and my country was not there
what should i do how do i send my BTC to my wallet and can i get bitcoingold on 25th?

I doubt we can help you, you will have to deal with bittrex's support... good luck with that. I've read about people getting banned when they ask about Bitcoin Gold... it's really insane.

Also, I tried to warn people that have "Legacy accounts" that these Legacy accounts wouldn't last, and I think now these people are getting random bans or at least frozen until they deliver information to the exchange. The days of anonymous trading in Bittrex are definitely over.

thanks i know i have to deal with bittrex support iam just worried about what are they going to reply
what if i lost my bitcoin to bittrex Shocked

If something goes wrong and they are not being fair, you can always create a post on www.reddit.com/r/bitcoin so the community can see Bittrex are being scammers. If you are right then they will support you, and businesses don't like being portrayed as scammers in front of thousands of people, so social pressure can help in these cases.

I think many online exchange site have getting that kind of information from people using there site and sometimes you need to present something for confirmation before doing anything, I highly recommend to just follow the rules or term of using the exchange site.
This is what bittrex does today. Bittrex implements a verification process that makes some people upset and there is also a welcome with a positive. some people say that they are late withdrawing because they have to first process the data done and this certainly makes them lose. personally, bittrex parties should make announcements in advance or conduct experiments when applying this regulation, with the option of coming weeks to enforce this regulation in full. yes maybe now there are some people who leave bittrex, we all know that at this time very many exchanges are popping up and they the majority offer a very interesting. we'll see whether bittrex as the best exchange at this time can maintain the number of users or not.

Technically speaking, this is a good move on the part of Bittrex. I mean requiring identification only further legitimizes their business. I think it is sort of shady how they did not pre-inform their userbase, but in reality it does not make sense for them to do that at all seeing as most would simply withdraw their Bitcoin(s) before the new security feature was even implemented and they lose half teir business or whatever overnight. This way, most of their customers will not go through the hassle of verification and rather will stay with them. Again, it is kind of shady, but also makes sense.

It makes 0 sense that I need to give them all of my data to convert Bitcoin into Litecoin or whatever. Why the fuck do I need to do that? Im going crypto to crypto, im not touching any fiat government controlled currency. Honestly fuck them, just find another exchange. There's plenty out there. I predict the alternatives will get more volume with Bittrex acting a dick.

Every single exchange will eventually post you an attachment so they can suck your sperm out of your phallus and file you. None of them will become more free, they're all going to be squeezed for compliance.

We'll have to wait for properly decentralised ones to catch on, but even then most people will still want order books to play with which require third parties.

What is Bittrex and bitcoin gold?

Bittrex is a trading site
Bitcoin gold is what will be created after fork

I thought most exchanges asked for Id
Yes, they do. but some have certain withdrawal limits for non-verified accounts(like say 2 BTC a day), i'm not sure but i think what bittrex is doing here is not allowing any withdrawals until you're fully verified(blocked accounts).

it's time to move to another exchanger, what do you guys think of hitbtc and binance? are they good?

I know we're probably in a grey area here.
But I doubt bittrex could legally do what they are doing, very odd behaviour, staying away.

I think the reason is the fast change in crypto legalization process, so exchanges want to hedge themselves with these procedures in order to have legitmate situation later.

Well the US government has them in constant monitoring, remember that these kind of coins do not suit a government like that, many people who worked with bitcoin in the usa went to mexico or puerto rico, they want to get the data of all users who uses these portals, the same happens with poloniex.

Is it only for bitcoin or all coin withdrawals? You can try converting your btc to another altcoin and then withdrawing those, or moving them to a less secure exchange to convert back to btc.

Maybe they are right to do this, because they think security is more important to avoid the unwanted things of crime, to keep the convenience of users who want to trade on their site, maybe in this way they think it will be safe from someone who wants to break into your account .

as long as we using acct at bittrex for doing trading nothing illegal, i don't worried about it.
some exchanges also required id verification for open limitation of deposit and withdraw, so its could be standard to avoid money laundry i guess.

Technically speaking, this is a good move on the part of Bittrex. I mean requiring identification only further legitimizes their business.

If you read up on the numerous recent threads there are more than enough fully verified people in non evil countries who've been locked out of their accounts too.

Normally I'd assume that the whiners were incompetent or dishonest, but there are so many of them coming from so many different channels that it's clear something very abnormal is going on.

your country should not matter when you already had an account and were trading and also depositing and also withdrawing fine! and doing all that for years.
if they changed their mind about their rules it is not the users' fault, their accounts should not be banned nor closed, they should have been given a warning so that they could withdraw and leave bittrex! and the rest who were fine with the "new rules" stuck around.

Are you talking about BitcoinGold obtained from airdrop?
I think bittrex has no connection with bitcoin gold.
Of course bittrex class companies have offices, but chances are you do not know details about bittrex yet

I don't see why people so averse to ID verification.. Its a legal requirement so that they can stay operational..
About trusting the exchanges, if you can trust them with your trade volumes than why not with IDs?

One option is that you pull out your funds in small chunks..

Basic Accounts: 3 BTC (or equivalent) per day with two-factor enabled.

Yes I agree all the exchanges require you to submit your national id for you to trade on them and in fact it's not the exchanges themselves but the government force them to do so and as long as we have to stay there on such exchanges I don't think we can do anything much but do what we are asked to. I deposited some btc on bittrex long ago and even till today I never made a withdrawal request yet just a few days when I saw a thread here on btctalk regarding bittrex needing us to submit our national id I tried to login and I found I myself had to go through all that verification process so it's in compliance with the government guidelines for the operation of such exchanges that they are doing so and we can't do anything much about that.

Me too, i'm trying to avoin any ico or exchange asking for private information and id scan. The idea behind decentralizing is that you don't have to verify anything for anybody.

I guess there are to reasons.
One of them is Trump

They don't let me withdraw my funds and are forcing me to send a copy of my id and a selfy which i deny before they don't answer my questions
1.Where their main office is located
2.Where my copy of ID will be stored
3.How it will be stored and protected
4.If they take full liability for loosing my copy to a third party

Since they deny to answer these questions i deny to send a copy of my ID.I choosed a basic membership with full intention to not be forced to send a copy of my ID to a company like Bittrex which denys to answer these simple questions.

Asking if i get Bitcoin Gold for the BTC which is stucked at Bittrex lead to an instant ban.
Bittrex has a lot and lot of issues and stuff going on,they are on a serious review mode and they are banning so many people and hell they are taking the money stored in it along with them also if I am not mistaken. At least give a fair warning to people ,bittrex. That's not the way you need to go for, youre creating a bad impression in people's minds ,after all you have risen up so high and arrogance might take all that away.
Answers to people's requests please, for all I know they might be in desperate need.. I really have good thoughts on bittrex and by trying to do something good as an intention don't let attitude to take over it. I hope you people get access to your accounts back, all I can do is pray and write down a support ticket, nothing else sadly.

That's not the idea behind decentralizing ...  Centralization/decentralization is about control...

I don't see why people so averse to ID verification.. Its a legal requirement so that they can stay operational..
About trusting the exchanges, if you can trust them with your trade volumes than why not with IDs?

Because they are not exactly a reputable exchange. Very few exchanges have the reputation and licensing that justifies giving them government ID, selfies, SSNs, etc. Gemini, Coinbase, maybe Bitstamp.

But Bittrex? That's a joke, right? Does anyone even know who runs this company? Do we know anything about them besides their virtual office address which is used for service of process? I don't even like to give my SSN to banks, for fear that they will have their data compromised. Bittrex and similar exchanges are a ticking time bomb for data theft, if not cryptocurrency hacks.

Also, it's important to note that this isn't just about verification. People with Enhanced Verification already on their accounts are having accounts locked. There is more going on here and it's concerning that Bittrex isn't forthright at all with the details.

Bittrex is shutting down accounts for no reason don't just know what's happening to them.

They put out a statement and explained their actions. I'm not sure that rumors are helpful.
