Now all coins have reduced the profitability of production and are on the verge of profitability. I hope that the bitcoin gold change the situation. I will try to get it. Maybe other coins will be forced to raise the profitability of production in order to compete with bitcoin gold. In any case, I hope for change for the better.

In any case, the Bitcoin Gold will take part of the power of mining from the altcoins. So that the miners of all coins will be satisfied.

I don't think many people will mine it from the start, you'll get your BTG a lot faster by importing your private keys than waiting for blocks to mature.

On October 25, 2017, will be a hardfork. This event is very tempting for those who already have on Bitcoin accounts. Next October 25, your will receive gold bitcoins due to your amount of BTC. But in order to acquire these bitcoins, you will most likely need a separate wallet.

And we also get bitcoin segwit2x at that exact same time, good times! My plan is to dump them both as soon as possible and buy back my alts.

I made BTC2 off BTC6 in Poloniex loans from the August fork.  Maybe lightning can strike twice?  Smiley
(Yes, I know the community's feeling on Polo but I haven't had a problem with them.  Yet.  Got more eggs elsewhere.)

The most you could of made was 5% and that rate was only there for maybe 24 hours.

I don't see how you could of made 2BTC of 6BTC.

If you borrowed 2BTC against a trade, you were creditted with 6BCC after the fork.

Hey guys,

just read a post about the new hardfork. I heard that the mining difficulty for Bitcoin Gold will be again "easy". Is that true? Can I use the cards I use for ethereum mining, for Bitcoin Gold?

Thank you in advance!

Definitely yes, the difficulty will be easy on the start but it won't last long as the popularity of cryptocurrencies rises. Bitcoin gold will be created so to prevent ASIC hardwares to mine it. This will give GPU miners a chance for this venture.
