I think for me saving bitcoins for children who has a family....it's good for their future but you have to monitor your account in bitcoin because we can never say a time if it is always safe there are some account hacking. We just keep it on a right wallet.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Hmmm... it's a good idea. But I hope that for the time when I have children bitcoin will cost more than 100K$ and everybody will use crypto.

Like every other investment such as real estate, stocks and other forms of investment we know that you can invest in that kind of things and then you get something like say a Certificate or a Binding Document as a proof that you are part of that investment, now that of bitcoin all you have is just your address, your password, key and seeds as proof of the ownership of the wallet.

BTC

So now if one is considering buying bitcoins and saving for his/her children in the future is there any way to do that with bitcoins apart from having to write down your details somewhere. I'm asking because with that kind of stuff if no one knows your seeds or password no one can get the coins. Huh Huh Huh

I told my wife about bitcoin and she knew everything about passwords, addresses or anything about the bitcoin I had, because we had the same goals for our children's future, I also opened accounts for my children and routinely transferred my profits at there

Your children's future is going to be brighter with your bitcoin savings. I hope all parents will do the same with what you guys are doing. I am looking forward to also do this.

I guess you invest only a part of your savings for your children in Bitcoin and the rest of it in more traditional investments?

i will savings a 20% from my wages for the future of my children to support their schooling someday
That is so nice and adorable of you people, thinking about your family and children, planning for their future, this is what real parents do. It will also be very beneficial if you people teach them about Bitcoin now if they are a little bit mature guys. This is what makes a relation of parents the Best in the world and the biggest necessity of every person. so far I don't have a family of my own but  whenever I see my parents  sacrificing for me, I start wondering how someone can go so far for any person.

This is the best thing you can do for your children actually.

If we're not doing this, this is our fault. Or let's say you know bitcoin very well and your youngster kid doesn't know bitcoin, this is your fault. We should teach them a lot about bitcoin.

We should save some bitcoin for our children's future.

Yes this is agood idea, as many say that bitcoin prices continue to rise so if we want to be patient to hold bitcoin then we will get big advantage, if we have children then the child should be taught about bitcoin so that if someday we die those who enjoying our work.

It is really a big idea! I will hold 80% my Bitcoin for my children! They are 12 years old now. And what happens if they have 10 BTC after 6 years. That's a good future for them

That is a good plan, many people said that bitcoin will not die. But I preffer like to save gold for my children because gold will always worthy. Honestly, I still feel afraid  about bitcoin's volatility. But I can't ignore that bitcoin now is very profitable investment.

I think it is too risky to invest in bitcoin. Why ? Because it is on its peak now. How about if you invest now then it drop so low after and then you need your money. Invest what you can lose.

Maybe I'll save some of my Bitcoin for my children's future but not all, since the value of Bitcoin is unpredictable. It is better to change Bitcoin into real money and save to the bank as your emergency fund.

I'll save Bitcoin for my children because the value of it is keep on getting high. Also there is always a news about the prediction of value of Bitcoin, so if ever it will predict that the value will low then I'll change my Bitcoin into a real money.

I would definitely recommend including BTC to your children's portfolios.  I do wish it were easier right now to manage their 'total' portfolio in one account - but for now, we will have to make due and manually reconcile their traditional securities portfolio and digital portfolio.

I would by no mean recommend "all eggs in one basket", more so for older persons than children as we have a reduced inherited risk tolerance the older we get.  But, a diversified portfolio should these days include crypto.

The traditional rule of thumb in portfolio management is to subtract the investors age from 100 - that represents the split of bonds vs equity (30 year old would have 70% stock and 30% bond).
The modern model should be subtract age from 100, then the age is their bond holdings, the remaining equity structure (the remainder of their age) should be 1/3 crypto and 2/3 traditional securities (traditional securities should be diversified across multiple asset classes of course).  We could diversify cryptos as well (some BTH, ETH, LTC, AltCoin, ICOs...).
Then naturally, rebalance 1-2 times per year.

Point of this, I would absolutely recommend holding cryptocurrency for your kids.

You may be surprised that before long, they know this stuff better than you do.  Smiley

Get a paper wallet and stuff it with bitcoins. Have a picture of it on film camera and have the negatives if needed. Hand write instructions on a piece of paper and together with the paper wallet throw it in a safety deposit box and have the key for your will. Bitcoin would be a good option for passing on to your grandchildren since it might be worth millions in the future!

This is a great idea for someone already have children, but not for me because i haven't had a child yet. From the beginning i invested and saved bitcoin, this is for my child future as she/he grows up, it was aims to anticipate if one day i get disaster (death or something else) then my bitcoin does not go to waste.

that's a nice and smart move from you, props to you.
Saving something every months (fiat, btc) for our childrens it's the best way to give them something to start with, you never know what's the future holds and if now we are able to save something that's something that everyone should do, think about our childrens!

I would buy an hardware wallet in a security box in a bank (or hidden somewhere safe aka fireproof, waterproof, dustproof, etc.etc.) with the instructions and give all the details to another trusted person, that's it.
It is actually a good plan for the fututre of your children. It can help your children fo their future to pursue their dreams in life. It can help the expenses especially for the academic purposes like projects or maybe a nee house for your children when they grow up.
