I think its a good idea. Saving some bitcoins for your children would be nice if bitcoin's life will continue until they can actually use it. if you keep it in exchanges, there high probability to get hacked. So i guess it would be safer, if you put it in MEW, or any other wallet in your desktop or laptop with backup.

We can leave a few coins for the future, but if the price goes down sharply, you can sell your coins.It will still go up, but during this period you must protect yourself from losses and that it was not only for your children but for yourself. I think this is a great idea, I'm going to half a year in the future for my children to buy a currency, and then put them in a purse, write the seed word on the paper, in the future when my son as an adult, I can put the COINS as a gift for him, I think, it will be a big surprise

My wife and myself are teaching or kids all our passwords, codes and where all the paperwallets are (they are 10,10 and 9). Should something happen to us, die or get separated from our kids they will have access to the cryptos (anywhere in the world).

It's all about trust. Who do you really trust. When I started with cryptos I kept on reading about a "trustless environment" this is a place where you trust nobody. So why should we trust our banks and or governments?
