Hi,

I'm fairly new to the crypto scene and I want to develop my own coin. I would like it to be mineable and also proof of stake..

I'm not a programmer, but I'm familiar with Linux & have edited source code, so my first thought is to just download the source of an alt coin that is similar to what I want to do and just edit the code from there.

Any suggestions?Huh?

Which crypto should it be based of off for easily changing how much and when it stakes?

Ethereum doesn't seem to be a good idea, I feel like I'll have less control for some reason (am I wrong?)

I plan on hiring a programmer at some point if necessary, possibly partial partner, but would like to give it a whirl on my own at first to see what I'm dealing with.

Thanks!
