For those of you who don't keep up with the Telegram channel, a dev there is putting together a single-script installation for Innova masternodes! This means a simpler installation of the masternode and sentinel, and we all know that's needed!

Also, more good news: the Innova promotional video which I'm having made is under development. Because this is a community coin, I could use some community input for taglines and feature pitches (simplified benefits of Innova). Please feel free to respond with your ideas!

Lastly, I put together a simple tool for you guys to clearly see the actual value of your masternode(s). It lets you enter the current price and ROI, and you can pick a length of time and provide your best guesstimate about the future price and ROI (of course nobody knows), and it will tell you if the masternode was worth running (and an estimate of your total gains).

Out of curiosity, I tried it with a dreary forecast of INN losing 92% value (worth ~0.00003) in one year's time, and guess what!? It would still earn you a whole bitcoin by then!

They are forks of DASH. DASH updated, and the way I understand it, these guys had to scramble to keep up. They werent exactly ready for this, so that is why all the problems.
I think that sums it up, but anybody is welcome to correct me.

I personally have Innova nodes and Desire, and have had trouble with them all. Even though I went through Node-vps. But they finally were all fixed and now running fine.

I was going to say is there another copy of Dash but its algorithm was different.  ASIC resistance can attract some of the GPU miners. But I do not know what will be its end now.

Thank you for posting the script.
One suggestion is to avoid compiling every time. Downloading of the pre-compiled binaries will simplify process significantly and will reduce installation time from hours to few minutes.

And please take time to understand what is really affecting MN network. What causes "NEW_START_REQUIRED" over and over again? Thank you.

I can provide compiled daemon but the problem is that the file is too large & I'm afraid the file hoster will cancel the hosting very fast.
Also compiled daemon won't be able to have the latest update whenever there is changes in github & a lot trust more in developer github, so I decided to use github to compile

My script also auto install the sentinel, hopefully this can solve all new start required issue

armspec, what version of Ubuntu you run on your VPS for Innova? I am running 14.04 and often getting "NEW_START_REQUIRED". The same VPS running Desire has no problem. I am starting to suspect that people who claim "no issues" with Innova are running 16.04. Can this be a clue?

This is a complete guide to setup Masternode for Innova Coin
Method employed: Cold Windows Wallet & Hot Ubuntu Linux VPS
Reason: your coin is safe with you in Windows wallet, VPS side wont have any of the coin.

1) Latest windows wallet from: https://github.com/innovacoin/innova/releases
2) 1001 Innova coins
3) Ubuntu 16.04 VPS - affiliated VPS provider Vultr - https://www.vultr.com/?ref=7271754
     $2.50 / month VPS is sufficient to run Innova Masternode
4) Putty - https://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/latest/w32/putty-0.70-installer.msi
5) Auto install script for Linux -

Getting started:

Prepare 1001 coins
You can buy it from (if you dont have the coins yet):

Windows side:
Extract downloaded windows wallet
Run innova-qt.exe
Wait for initial init
Click options -> wallet -> check "Enable coin control features" & "Show Masternodes tab"
If your coin is still in exchange, transfer at least 1001 coins back to Windows wallet.
Inside windows wallet, click file -> receiving addresses
Click new
Put a name as label for the new address
Right click the address, select copy address, click close
When there is 1001 coins inside windows wallet, click Send tab
Paste copied address  in Pay To:
Amount: 1000
Click "Send" button below
Windows wallet side is done for now

Next, get Ubuntu 16.04 VPS.
Install putty & open it.
Input ip address of your vps & click open
When prompted for username, input root
When prompted for password, initial password is provided by VPS provider.
Change password by typing command passwd
Issue command "cd"
Next would be to get the auto install script, copy entire command below:
wget https://www.dropbox.com/s/srl70ieh1afp224/Script.sh

Go to putty & paste (right click mouse button)
Type command below after gotten auto install script:
chmod -R 755 Script.sh
./Script.sh

Wait for around 1 hour time for installation to complete.
At the end of the script, it would generate masternode private key for you.
Copy the key by highlighting the text (putty will auto copy when you highlight the text)

Back to windows, open notepad
Paste the private key earlier onto notepad
Back to windows wallet
Click tools -> debug console
Issue command "masternode outputs"
For output, there would be 1 long text (transaction id) & 1 single digit number at the end (output index)
Copy the output to notepad
Back to windows wallet
Click tools -> open masternode configuration file
Fill in new line with template as below:
Masternode-Alias[space]VPS-IP-address:14520[space]private-key-from-vps[space]transaction-id[space]output-index
Save & close
Close Windows wallet & open again
Wait till complete sync, click masternodes, click my masternodes, click the masternode that you want to activate, click Start alias
After activating, you would see Pre Enabled status, wait for around 30 minutes time & it should display as Enabled


You are all done & wait for your first reward (around 24 hours time).

I think once this news catches on, the price is going to make a major bounce. Simple installs means easier masternodes.

In my opinion, we should advertise the strength of Innova as being its community involvement. This coin has major potential for growth because it takes its lead from the members of the community. So here are my two cents:

I downloaded it and tried it out. It's actually really reassuring to see that masternodes are worth it even in the worst or times. Here's my favorite result:

If Innova were to lose ALL VALUE (as in 0 value), and ALL ROI (as in 0 ROI) in 100 days (yes, this is a hypothetical doomsday), IT WOULD STILL BE PROFITABLE TO RUN A MASTERNODE UNTIL THAT DAY!! That's amazing!

if you get watchdog_expired

go to your vps and type innovacoin-cli mnsync status

if 4 out of 5 are not true (also AssetID will not be 999)

then, stop the node
innova-cli stop
wait 1 minute
innovad -reindex
wait 30 minutes type
innova-cli mnsync status
you should now have 4 of 5 as true and AssetID = 999

sentinel will not run if above condition is not met

Do you know why our INN is the Highest ROI?
Just because our is the newest? and the masternodes quantity is not many?
I have setup a INN masternode, found the Inn price decreased a lot, I am thinking if I should buy another cheaper Inn masternode or buy other (like Xios,Vivo...).
Any suggestion?
