I never heard of anything that you can only buy with cryptocurrencies actually I have not seen anyone accepting any altcoin in my region very few of them accept BTC as a payment option and there were more payment modes with Bitcoin, I would love to see stores experimenting altcoins as a payment option.

Does anyone know of retailers which sell goods/services for crypto only with no option of payment made in fiat?

Could this represent a good business model for a small store with an online only presence?

There must be some holding alts who are fustrated by the lack of options in terms items they can spend their coins on. While there are many options for bitcoin, for the most part alts are neglected and there isn't a huge market where they can be utilized without first having to convert to btc.

Could support for ripple, eth, bcc, doge, ltc, dash and other alts be a good foundation upon which to build a small business?

 Huh
There are presently so many of them and more are springing up by the day. I have no idea how the market is fairing for them, but I am sure if it is not doing good, most of them would have closed up and reconsider by now. It is a good thing having full crypto only store for ecommerce and it is really going to be pretty awesome seeing people have the chance to make use of their coin to purchase things like in the real world/ecommerce world raided with fiats.

However, if considering alts, it is necessary to consider how fair enough they have been in the market, but having so many of them at once, I feel will be too much. Probably, it is best if just concentrating on only 5 with good support.

Crypto means business now and soon. Everything will start from bitcoin, altcoin will be selected. This is what i see. Thanks Wink
We are gradually getting there and I see so many of this springing up as time goes on. A lot of merchants and even the newbie merchants are seeing where crypto is headed and surely, will make a good impact in the ecommerce industry. So, those who can start now, even with alts, will really be making themselves the early ones in the crypto market scene.

There are numerous retailers which accept cryptocurrencies only for their goods and services and i am listing few of them below.
https://bitcoinshop.us has been a strong beleiver of bitcoin from its starting. This eshop is live since july 2014.
Users living in USA continent can order electronic goods, make up items and many more and can make payments in three major cryptocurrencies.
http://memorydealers.com sells a wide range of computer hardware equipments. Both accepting bitcoin as well as other altcoins
OP need to know the retailers which accepts bitcoin as the only payment method not as an alternative payment method.
I have checked your stated shop i.e bitcoinshop.us but it doesn't seems as an e-shop/store and the memorydealers.com is accepting bitcoin as an alternative payment method not the only payment method.

There are some business that only accept bitcoin but most of the time they are related to bitcoin, most business even if they accept bitcoin will accept paypal and other forms of payment for the simple reason there are not enough people interested in bitcoin willing to pay for their products and services so even if they started like that they end up accepting fiat.

Paypal payment is the other thing while the bitcoin payment is the separate thing so for me bitcoin has the large circle and the huge information for all the people. The paypal and the other payment are the other source for the online payment, I use to get the daily shopping in the bitcoin site and the rough sites are here for the bitcoin payment and best thing about the bitcoin is the paypal and other bitcoin payment.

I would really appreciate if there is any in my locality but it's really difficult to get one. The only place I see it happening will be countries where the popularity of bitcoin has reached a point where entrepreneurs can have a move to establish their project and because of the popularity, there is hardly need to do much publicity as the market is already aware of bitcoin.

Over here on the otherhand, the market is not there yet as the first few years will be about enlightening the entire populace and if the money is not coming in fast, business cash flows runs into problem, the end is in sight. But this is a fertile ground to be assessed because buying from abroad will make it more expensive.

Without disclosing my specific location, I can tell you that here where I live in the eastern side of the United States there are various Bitcoin-accepting retailers in a certain part of the city. However, these are mostly just local stores-- I have yet to see a franchise or a branch of a big store such as a Target accepting Bitcoin. Hopefully, this will change some time in the near future.

I strongly believe in Bitcoin only stores, but do believe they are a bit premature. Here's why:

Bitcoin must first become a true medium of exchange(or currency). At the moment, because of its volatility, it is treated more as a commodity.

Commodity currencies have proven better time and time again, but due to greed and practicality, Fiat money is king. Now, Bitcoin has solved the traditional problems commodity currencies have faced, like scarcity, divisibility, convenience, etc.

BUT, here's the good news:

According to Austrian Economics, a commodity that comes into general use as a medium of exchange is money. The concept of a "medium of exchange" is precise. But when exactly comes a medium of exchange into "common" or "general" use is not strictly definable.

So it is definitely the future. At what point it happens, and how it happens remains to be seen.

it depends on what business you want to launch, I think receiving payment using cryptocurrency is very suitable applied for business or online store. You will have many customers from this community if the goods you sell can easily attract people and friendly prices. Delivery throughout the country should be available if you want to open an online store by receiving payment from bitcoin.

You would have appreciated having something like that in your locality and then imagine the number of people in your locality that would have appreciated having something like that too. Why not start up something similar and then target your local area and see yourself earn a lot from there.

Business oppurtunity with bitcoin cannot be find any location but the normal business can be done yourself or anyone. If you want to start your business in your location with you need to spread the bitcoin and its features to the people. Then you will be able to use the business as payment option, investment based business like trading or mining also possible.

Mate! That is a start. It is always from somewhere and then we start seeing more merchants and stores adopting it.

The fact that your local stores in your area are already adopting its usage in reality is even enough and that makes it even more interesting. Gradually, when even the bigger players start seeing the real life usage coming to play, then it would be easy to start seeing multi adoption of the digital currency.

 Huh

As of now, I don't think there are retailers or marketers that sell good or services with cryptocurrencies as exclusive means of payment. I think that would not be a wise choice for them because money is still more main stream and is more widely used by people. For now, crypto-payment is only an additional option because even companies that use it are only in their testing or experimentation stages. On the topic if its a good business move to allow cryptos to be used as payment; I would say yes because it gives people more options and it opens revenue to other customers that are not local to where the physical shop is.
