what on earth is the truckcoin daemon with zero balance doing that it keeps pinning a cpu core/thread at 100% ??
perhaps reducing the connection limit to a very small number will help? currently have 12 connections.
i have other coins with over 20 connections not even close to being this piggish.

I never had that problem.  Why are you running a wallet with a zero balance?

its a node daemon, my personal wallet is Qt on windows, this is on linux.

It's not normal. Is it synced? cpu load can be high while syncing.
Number of connections has nothing to do with cpu load, limiting will not help.

I had a comparable problem with some other wallet.
Cpu load was 50%.
Debug log did not give me some clue but checking TCP data of my connection did.
One node was causing excessive data traffic, blocking the ip cured it.

TRK explorer database at https://explorer.truckcoin.net/ get damaged for some reason so explorer is down at the moment.
It's rebuilding now, should be back up by tomorrow.
Next year I will setup a secondary explorer for TRK so we will always have at least one working explorer.

Only a few days left before the first switch of Truckcoin staking reward - max reward amount will change from 200 TRK to 150 TRK on 1 January 2020.
Please make sure you are running TRK wallet v2.0.0.0, there are a few 1.x nodes still connected to TRK network.
All 1.x.x.x clients will become obsolete on New Year's night!

Even though I see it on unnamed exchange there is very little coins there to buy or sell, surely this coin is better than that or are investors sitting on their wallets or have they lost or thrown their wallets out as the coin is worth pretty much worth part of a doge coin and not worth trading

There are 332816474 coins in total and 63,000 on sell at unnamed exchange surely this coin is on other exchanges?

It requires a fairly large amount to keep staking, getting 50 coins per stake a few times a day.  I think that's why people are not selling a lot.  Perhaps hundreds of thousands were lost in the Cryptopia hack.  Sadly, not many people understand the value of staking or supporting a staking coin community.  I think one of the most important things in the near future is to get coins like this on decentralized exchanges.
