To help newcomers. I've heard too many times that they cannot afford to buy BTC because their understanding was that they have to buy a whole 1BTC. Also while it may seem weird at first, mBTC is much more natural for our brains. You don't see prices like 0.0001 in shops.

I switched precision to 4 digits by default (still fully configurable in preferences), to make switch a bit easier for people. You still have precision up to 0.1%, but if you are used to looking at price in BTC then mBTC with 3 decimal places looks familiar.

Regarding SSL, it's fixed now, sorry about that issue. https://data.bitcoinity.org is also available over https. I know the icon is not green on /markets, I'll try to fix it but I had some issues with pushing live updates over ssl, I'll try to fix this too.

One request though - could you fix the market depth price labels to always show 3 decimal places now?  Maybe it's just me, but seeing 1.1, 1.125, 1.15 causes me grief for my brain to process!    Would be easier to read if it was 1.100, 1.125, 1.150  (IMO)

Ah and this, yeah sounds reasonable (there may be some display issues if you choose to display say 8 digits), anyway I'll try to push it with the next update.

Also you forgot to update to mbtc the price that the webpage shows in the first load (before the stream starts).

I hope all info sites, exchanges and wallets follow your lead on this. It may seem like a small technicality, but it could have a major psychological effect when it comes to widespread adoption.

And you even got the large, friendly letters just right with the "Don't Panic" sign

It's not that way.

In English:
- Comma (",") is for thousand: 1,000 = One thousand.
- Dot (",") is for decimals: 0.5 = A half.

One thousand fifty and a half = 1,050.5

Thas's the notation Bitcoinity always uses.

So it would be nice to see when the banking hours opens in other countries..

Yeah.. I do the same.. I mean I should probably switch to selected currency volume as default, it seems like a better indicator especially like on the 2y chart. But I agree, on both there are numbers in millions now. I'll try to think of something.

Hmm, that's an interesting idea, I don't know how would I implement that yet, and there seem to be some more urgent things currently, but I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for this kind of feedback, it helps a lot.

Please make 1mBTC = .000001BTC  I sent you a private message explaining my restaurant menu… bitcoin is going to keep going up in value…  right now… if I followed your pricing scheme… if dinner for 2 would be 30mBTC… that would just be fine… but when this gets up to $10k…  We will be right where we started a year from now.  I would rather it be expanded across the board an extra 3 zeros.  Then dinner for two would be 30,000mBTC.  as it gets more expensive… it will be easier for my customers to understand… and easier for me to reduce the price I list from my customers.

From a sale point of view…  1BTC on the exchanges… people would rather feel like they just bought 10,000 mBTC for $10  It allows for larger growth faster.   .001mBTC will be a flash in the pan.  

I beg you to expand it.  

Even better would be to call them Satoshi's… sBTC

My justification is… BTC is the same name from 1 to 21mil… why can't we just have the same name across the board on the other side of the decimal point?

The 'm' is for milli - the SI standard unit that means 1/1000.  That is defined by international standard and is not up for debate.

You could argue for use of uBTC (micro - 1/1000000, also an SI unit) instead, and I would agree with that.
