Bitcoin courses or self-studying the subject?

So forum, i`m new to this kinda things, wanna do some researches on cryptocurrencies overall.
Is it fine to find some courses/studies (is these kind of courses even exist? is it scum or not?), which teach things about bitcoin or find information and analyze it all by myself?

I don't think there is a course about cryptocurrency or Bitcoin out there. Besides that, the cryptocurrency world is relatively new and constantly growing very fast, I think the traditional education system is not suitable for this kind of environment. For example, ICO wasn't much a hype two years ago, but today every single idea/advancement has an ICO for it. So, I'd say self-studying is better if you want to know deeper about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general.

I personally think courses are quite irrelevant, same reasons as to what CodyAlfaridzi said. Cryptocurrency courses are probably better only for the trading/investing aspect of it.

To learn about a certain cryptocurrency just simply read their whitepaper. I wouldn't go that path if you're really new though. Focus on learning about blockchain technology in general instead first before jumping in to those big stuff.

Read this[1] guide compilation first, this should give you a good general idea on what bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general are.

I doubt there are taught courses on bitcoin/cryptocurrency - but in the future you never know as it becomes more popular. There is a coding and implementation side to the blockchain.

It is self-study at the moment but using google there is wealth of information out there.

Check out ethereum.org and you can see how to code onto the blockchain is a good start for most people.

I was told about Princeton Universities Crypto Currency and Blockchain course.  Its free and has TONS of great videos.  Great place to start.

You only really need to know the fundamentals. In my opinion, here are the topics you need to research to get started:

- What bitcoin is in simple terms
- Different kinds of bitcoin wallets
- How to transact with bitcoins
- How to protect yourself online

After you get the hang of those, you should be able to start trading. You can also move on to more intermediate but not completely necessary topics such as blockchains, mining, forks, etc.

this bitcoin can be self study ! all your needed information is all overthe net if you are having a hard time understanding it in letters and sentences you can have it on google !

In my opinion, studying is never too much. A lot of interesting information you can find in this forum, there are many different books on BTC, but a lot of material you will find also on Youtube. I would recommend.

One of the many good things about crypto is how many resources there are available. Even in this forum alone you can learn all about Bitcoin as well as most altcoins. I recommend checking Reddit threads also (e.g. r/bitcoin). Even though they're more casual and "for entertainment" you can still learn a lot from them.

I personally suggest that you research on your own and read books about cryptocurrency in general. This forum used to be a good resource for firt-hand information regarding bitcoin and crypto in general but unfortunately it was flooded by spammy posts and tons of useless, shameless altcoin promotions which to me is quite unnecessary for amyone learning crypto.
