There is an easy one written in Go out there that more or less just requires you to put your API key in a config file and select your strategy - then you just need to run the script every x minutes.

... is it really necessary for a Bitfinex lending bot to have such a complex setup procedure (server, php, mysql, cronjobs), or is it possible to make a python script for it just like the Poloniex lending bot? ...
It is not necesarry, you'll use what you already have. In this case the scripts talking with the API are written in php, this is running on a server, mysql for some stats, cronjobs to run the scripts regularly. I have personally no clue about Python, but sure, it's possible. Like Sukrim mentioned above something written in Go. The script/programming language used does not matter as long as you can access the API with it.

I get my BTC within minutes usually, the last withdrawal was just a few days ago. Maybe I got lucky with hotwallet availability...

Does anyone lend BTC using FRR and autorenew? Returns seem pathetic, both because the FRR is usually very low and because a big percentage of the time they aren't being lent.

I made several small withdrawals recently. Any reason they've been at processing for hours now? Usually it is instant, and it should be because these are like 0.01 withdrawals (for my signature campaign payments).

For those who are bringing up processing times for their btc withdrawals, please see this page for our requirements for auto-withdrawal processing: https://www.bitfinex.com/withdraw/greenlineIf you meet these security requirements your withdrawals will be processed automatically and therefor massively cut down on the time it takes to process the withdrawal. If you don't, we must manually review your withdrawal and ensure that everything is in order and that the account doesn't appear to be compromised. If you guys have any questions just let me know.

How does the FRR USD rate spike to 0.18% when the outstanding swap barely moves? Ahh, some crazy person renewed 1-3 million swap - possibly at 0.75% (looks like at least 1 million was renewed at 0.75%). Either a bad algorithm or a misclick perhaps.

Yes, there are multiple threads here and on reddit. Bitfinex appears to have lost just under 120k BTC due to some kind of hack. Trading has been halted, and the site has been taken offline. According to a bitfinex employee, the incident is under investigation.

Forgive my petulance and oft-times, I fear, ill-founded criticisms, and forgive me that I have, by this time, made your eyes and head ache with my long letter. But I cannot forgo hastily the pleasure and pride of thus conversing with you.

Today we discovered a security breach that requires us to halt all trading on Bitfinex, as well as halt all digital token deposits to and withdrawals from Bitfinex. Will they keep our funds now??I am losing faith in all this digital currencies now. I stopped all my cryptotrading (just in case, very successful) when I had fully realized after the (in)famous Bter hack in February, 2015, that it is not a matter of if but when an exchange gets hacked. Though I was lucky that my funds weren't affected then (only bitcoins were stolen, while I had doges), but I read the writing on the wall very well (and advise everyone to do the same)... So, no matter how successfully you trade, you will, nevertheless, lose everything in the end
