hello friends,

The BCG scam site https://claimbitcoin.gold/

people are still not understanding about BCC and yet another BCG is trying to scam people's BTC..

i am just sharing my perceptions and raising doubts...

As per my knowledge BCC (Bitcoin Cash) is worth trusting to claim the free coins and sell them for a quick buck but what about the BCG (Bitcoin Gold) ?

There is no electrum wallet for BCG and the website asking people to enter thevBTC private keys directly onto their website to open an account or wallet of BCG  Huh

well i tried to enter my BTC private keys (encrypted) but guess what i only see one error message as shown below ..

so friends, after entering all my BTC privatekeys , i see only one message as shown above..

if anyone tried and claimed BCG Huh? not sure.. if not don't even think about it because i feel that this site is trying to collect everyone's BCG  Tongue

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Dude, the above image states that your private key you have given to add it not valid only bro. In which aspects it symbolize bitcoin gold is a scam according to your point. Still I hold some bitcoin in online and electrum wallets but I don't get the reward for BTG.
Please refer the below link to know how to claim the bitcoin gold and effects of this coin after spliting.

There is no official Electrum wallet for any altcoin. The ones that exist for Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin are forks by other developers who aren't associated with the Electrum project.

You should never enter your private keys into a website like this. What web domain did this come from? This looks like a phishing site intent upon stealing your private keys. I don't even think official code or wallet software is published yet. Official news should come from btcgpu.org or https://twitter.com/bitcoingold -- anything else is probably scammers.

I don't see anything like the screenshot you posted on their official website's cache. At this moment, the site is down, and their Twitter is reporting a DDOS attack: https://twitter.com/bitcoingold/status/921624600907091970

What made you think about bitcoin cash and gold as the scam coins? I don't beleive there is a website that offers you to create wallet for bitcoin gold earlier even before its existance.
You have to wait until fork is applied, thereafter major wallets will start supporting bitcoin gold and you will be freely able to store or exchange these coins.
For me, BCH was a legit coin with highest demand of trade potential. No need to spill out bad words about it.

no hard ford how to get bitcoin gold on the market everything is speculated by everyone. We should wait for harddisk to determine where it can provide the wallet for bitcoin gold or whichever supports bitcoin gold reception and so far there are some supported bitcoin gold platforms such as yoibit But you have to pass 25-10 and you can trade bitcoin gold

You'd better move your Bitcoin to another wallet before they are steal your bitcoin. I see it's a phishing site and they can steal all the data you entered into the site. Once you put a private key there, then be prepared to lose your money.
Hardfork is still not happening and will not happen until 25 October, just hold your bitcoin and wait for the time for BTG to appear.

I am tired of these scamsters. I remember a thread here a few months back, which was posted by an user who lost 45 BTC. He used electron cash.net instead of electron cash.com and all of his coins were stolen by the scammers. I don't know whether I should claim BTG or not. Are there any reliable wallets out there where we can claim BTG?

What is this.Hardfork has not happened yet and you are shouting that it is a scam by entering into a fake website. It is your mistake to give your private key to a fake website.

The fork has not been done yet so basically if there is a wallet that supports BTG now, that is empty for now it is for sure, that's a fake and scam site waiting for people to enter their private key to stole their bitcoins, better move your btc to another wallet for its security purposes even though you encrypt your private key the hackers can easily decrypt and get your bitcoins.

I really don't understand what Op is trying to achieve, you want to claim a BCG that the fork is yet to make available? What you should have drawn people attention to is the scam website that claim you can claim your BCG when there is no official release to that. Even Yobit that has come to declare their interest in crediting their customers, you have to wait for nothing less than 70 hours from the time they sent the message. If you are not sure of any site, Yobit has been around for a while, although not suggested to move you coins to an exchange site but its still better than compromising you entire private key. Just send funds there and wait for when its going to be credited.

Beware! Never send or paste your private key to NO ONE! That is a phishing site! Bitcoin Golds will be active from 25th of October and you will see the coins if you own the private key of the wallet (not from exchange with single specific exceptions). Even if your current wallet doesn't support BitCoin Gold, having the private key you can always load it in the correct one in the future.

There is nothing wrong to be careful.i think we should see how to the claim bitcoingold,if i prefer to save my bitcoin in one exchange that they can automatic claim bitcoingold. it further reduces the risk of the private key that we enter to claim btcgold.I've often lost eth because of entering private key in the phishing website.

This site does not look safe, looks like a simply scan site plus you never put your private key in anywhere. I don't think BTC Gold would ask our private key in order to receive their coin. The fork will happen only 25th october and if you have any bitcoin amount in the exchanges, they will let you know when and how much you will receive of BTG, don't be scammed.

exactly .. i tried their website which is posted on BCG twitter account everything is just useless but a scam. BCG is total waste in my opinion, and BCH is way better.

Dont know what this site is, but BCG is not a scam, LOL. Its an unnecessary shitshow, but definitely not a scam Grin

It seems like you simply entered in the key wrong, if this interface you are using is legitimate and not a phishing attempt. Make sure the address is formatted correctly; make sure you copied and pasted the right address/copied the whole thing. If this isnt legit, then wake up dammit.

Never import private keys to anything other than a wallet; always remember that whoever controls your keys also owns your coins. If you dont mind having your coins hosted, just leave them be on an exchange that will support both sides of the fork. You dont quite have the "spidey sense" about you yet (that interface asking for my priv keys would be a non starter).

You will lose your bitcoins because you don't seem to be a very bright individual, as you have demonstrated by entering your private keys in some website.

I don't care from where that website is coming from. Even if it comes from the BGold twitter, and assuming BGold team is legit, their twitter could have been compromised to post a phishing website.

When it comes to claiming keys in forked chains, downloading the full node client is the only "safe" way to do it, assuming all forksoftware could potentially be a scam.

Im not touching BGold until the main node software has been audited, then I will just dump it, if the price is high enough, if not, I will not even bother.
