Next week a fork in bitcoin network will happen. What is your position about investing some money:buy, sell, hold or invest in other alcoins?

Will do nothing, so the bitcoin gold that I'll be getting will just be used for investing to bitcoin again. And after investing that profit from bitcoin gold then I'm going to hold it until I can. I used to hold bitcoin for a longer time since it's now my goal to keep on holding until I reached and see the price that I've been expecting but as of now, I don't know what's my price expectation.

Gonna sell the bitcoingold almost immediately and gain more bitcoin for that. Gonna use that to offset some of what happened the past few weeks with alts getting destroyed. Then gonna hodl onto whatever else I have left

because there will be another fork in a few weeks plus winter is coming so overall market depression. Hodl on for some brighter times come Spring 2018 hopefully.

The best course of action is to wait until fork will happen. It is hard to predict what will happen immediately after the fork.
There is a high chance of people selling their coins right after bitcoin gold air-drop will take place.
I am sure that BTC price will grow over time, but  I would wait with buying more BTC to see how big after-fork correction would be.

I think bitcoin gold price will be decreasing progressively and the biggest point will be in its first instant , so I'll exchange it immediately into bitcoin , I'll keep holding my bitcoin .
For altcoins , I expect their prices will rise after the fork , so it's good to invest in some well based ones

The initial move is to dump, because everyone got free tokens. But the future is interesting about this one. Bitcoin gold will change the algo for miners, ASIC resistant, so GPU miners will have a chance to earn some Bitcoin Gold. This is completely different from Bitcoin Cash that just made the fork.

I heard that BTC reached the $6k level few days ago, wasn't really surprised as it was predicted that it will reach $7k before the year ends. I will probably do nothing for the meantime and will buy BTC after the fork since 6k rate is really high for now. If ever I got some BTC Gold on my wallet soon I will exchange it to BTC as an added investment.

Buy a little more if there's a dip while holding the rest of my bitcoin but before there's a dip i'm gonna sell some of it. I'm making this step as a slowly but surely to regain some of my loss. Although there's an upcoming fork in November it may still be a good chance too to buy if there's a dip and also Bitcoin Gold will be released. I might hold it for a while, maybe there's a chance that it will going to rise just like of what happened to BCH. Think carefully while making any decision because it could flip anything, just always have a patience and keep calm.

Just hold for now. As history suggests last time it happened there was a small drop in price but look at where it is now. I am hopeful the same thing will repeat again. Smiley

BTC I'll just keep holding. Maybe sell a little bit on larger moves to reload on fiat in case of a dip, but since the fundamentals haven't changed I see no reason to sell larger amounts.

With Bitcoin Gold I assume dumping will already be in full swing before I even get my coins on the exchanges. So I'll probably just watch the markets for 1-2 days until I've made my mind up on how to proceed.

With alts -- those I already have I'll hold until the market improves. However since I'm not 100% convinced that alts will recover all that well, at least short-term, I'm in no hurry to add to my position either.

I will do the same as the other people, i will just hold my bitcoins until the fork is done so i can receive my btg for free, that is what the majority will do, because that is the most profitable thing.
But in which exchanges is going to be btg tradeable for bitcoins? because it is a little bit confusing since we didnt get any news from serious exchanges like poloniex or bittrex, and maybe cryptopia.
But it is fine, we are probably going to receive notices a few days before

I think when bitcoin fork, the price can go down, but it will not be long. as we can see, bitcoin prices often go down and it does not make bitcoin die instead make bitcoin triumph with its current price, same as when bitcoin fork, its price will go down but not long then the price will increase again.

How can any coin like Bitcoin Gold be successful ? I don't understand what are they trying to achieve, copy BTC, add some features from other BTC forks ,combine them all together, and get a coin that no one will use ever ? I think that any smart persons thoughts about the fork is sell btc gold, buy btc.

I think a wait and see approach is the best one to take, I suspect that bitcoin gold is a much smaller deal than the November Hard fork. Watch out for that.

You'd have to plan to have your BTC on an exchange that will not pause trading to be able to buy/sell post-fork tokens right away.
As far as the price predictions, yours is as good as any. Who knows when the pumps and dumps will hit. Good luck!

This will probably end up like BCH did, with no one really wanting to own it, price being
relatively low, and the coin itself having little chance of success.

It is free money, though.  But like the last fork, I'm caught not owning much bitcoin at
all and won't benefit from it in the least.  Oh well.  I don't think it's a bad idea to own
it as long as it's free.  But come on...no one is going to be buying this one either, and
there's going to be a mad rush to dump it on the market as soon as people are able to.
It'll basically be another shit coin among hundreds.

I don't think much about upcoming fork, I'm just hodling my btc and I don't plan to sell it for altcoins, I don't see reasons to do it. About Bitcoin Gold - I'm planning to dump it all as ASAP. It's interesting, how much time after fork will take until exchanges will start accept btg deposits. But I didn't decided yet, what to do with money after selling btg - keep it in btc or put these money in altcoins.
