I would have said BTG won't be worth anything, but I thought that about Bitcoin Cash and was epically wrong. Who knows anymore? Only way to find out is to wait and see.
If it ends up being worth more than eth, I might switch my rigs to start mining it ... I won't be the only one.

Well, there is no way it will replace ETH, because everyone uses ether to for the ICOs and such. Thats the sole reason China is banning ICOs, they dont want regular people mining currency such as ETH. So you can bet they will be against btc gold as well. |

No man they are just trying to protect their people and get in on the action as well. China will come out with regulations for ICOs and exchanges. Everything will be back to normal in a year or however long it takes them.. |

I said I would start mining it instead of ETH if it is more profitable. I will agree that China wants to keep the power of having the majority of mining farms -- which will limit support for BTG. But them banning ICOs is, in my opinion, unrelated. ICOs need regulation. Regulation isn't necessarily a bad thing & neither is having less ICOs in general. I'd say the majority of long term crypto traders have been scammed (or at least slightly abused) by an ICO or two. |

Am thinking a little lower than $50, GPU mining is quite expensive and elaborate. |

There will be a big hype happen at first that bitcoin gold price will rise like bitcoin cash. But I think it will suddenly dump because people will sell their bitcoin gold. And I think, it is the same will happen of bitcoincash. |

I think Bitcoin Gold have the same price with Bitcoin cash at the hard fork moment. It means about %500.

We have no basis to comment regarding with the price of bitcoin gold in the market, definitely we have less knowledge with regards to this coin, also what their strategy during launching of this project. However I try to have some idea to this altcoins because if I see that this coins have a good potential I just invest to this coins because I want to know how long it will runs in good price.

Kraken never supported BTG out of some major exchanged only yobit and hitbtc were supporting btg trade. Bittrex only promised to give you but balance did not allowed trade. |

Like virtualminer says, Kraken never announced a statement that they would support bitcoin gold. Regarding the price, I think it will be the same as it was with bitcoin cash: first price will increase and increase, at the moment when everybody can exchange their btc gold, the dump will happen. |

I think the bitcoin gold price will be equivalent to bitcoin cash. bitcoin prices will not be exceeded by the new coin although it is coin bitcoin gold is very interesting. but that is just my speculation. |

I think it will be similar to bitcoin cash, a useless new currency, I'm not interested in it. New coins are constantly useless while Bitcoin Core does everything well. |

Ha, it's already started plummeting as everyone knew it would and it hasn't even hit most exchanges yet. It's already down to the low 100s and will only go lower. I hope all those who are still holding and missing out on all the alt coin gains realize that these forks aren't worth the small amount they will get from the forked coins from btc.

Zoom out on the daily charts and this little altcoin rise is just a small blip. Most alts need 400-800% just to get back to where they were in the late spring. |

I think it will be similar to bitcoin cash, a useless new currency, I'm not interested in it. New coins are constantly useless while Bitcoin Core does everything well. This would really be destined just like on Bitcoin cash and you are right same as yours im not really interested on this fork coins that are resembling on bitcoin itself but yet this is just an another altcoin in the market and people wont really put too much interest just like on what they have putted on bitcoin itself. For now price is playing on $500. I dont have any updates if it already dumped or not. |
