We are CorbinPartners Inc., an established Canadian provider of business intelligence and forensic market research.
First, some context: last year we conducted a research study titled “Tracking the Advancement of Bitcoin”. This study addressed the vendor side of cryptocurrency and was driven by in-depth interviews with retail merchants about their experience with, and opinions of, Bitcoin as a payment alternative. CorbinPartners received tremendous feedback and was proud to have the study awarded the 2016 ‘Excellence in Research’ honour by the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association (MRIA).
We are now announcing the next phase of that study – the launch of our inaugural “Bitcoin Sentiment Index”. This new study will focus on the Canadian
consumer side, including both early adopters of Bitcoin and potential users. The study will track awareness and usage, identify motivations and barriers, highlight gaps between consumer need and business availability, compare consumer perceptions with those of the merchant community, and assess the potential growth moving forward. Our goal is to provide a benchmark for future tracking of supply and demand indicators in the Canadian market over time.
