Not even small dump or bumps happens because of the upcoming hard fork. Since coin splitting from the bitcoin everyone will think that bitcoin price will drop at 200 USD in the chart. If you search the about the last time fork in August 1st you may have a clear view about the segwit and hard fork effect. Simply have your bitcoin in the wallet where you can get the BTG rewards for your bitcoin savings. |

I am not sure if bitcoin gold will drop the price, people might actually start to dump some bitcoin after this fork to get a hold on some altcoins while thery are cheaper. I personally expected bitcoin to be at a higher price coming close to the fork because people would have start buying it...guess i was wrong.

People got used to all this fork news, I see no reaction.
Just last profit taking by sharks and fund managers when price was over $6K.
Every new "currency" clone of BTC, will be valued lower than Bitcoin Cash.
What is sensible reason for this Bitcoin Gold to exist, except for the sake of speculation?

Value of Bitcoin might drop a bit but probably nothing too spectacular. Chances are you'll barely notice it on graphs. If prices indeed begin to nosedive, the cause will most likely be a 'regular' sell-off after the giant peak we're experiencing currently. Altcoins could recover a bit in the coming weeks, but the market is so treacherous these days I wouldn't bet on it.

I agree with this, people have bought BTC in order to receive 'free' money and as soon as the block 491407 is encountered, they will move their money back. I do not think the change in price will be anything enormous but for sure not a bad moment to buy more! ~10 hours left |

Bitcoin gold is just an speculation coin, i dont see any good usage for it more than dumping them for fiat money, or just to invest more money on altcoins or even buy more bitcoins.
If people buy more bitcoins with that money, then obviously that bitcoin price will go up, there is no doubt with it, of course, but i dont think that it will affect a lot, because we all are expecting to receive those coins only to dump them as soon as possible.

I dont think that it will affect the price because bitcoingold is already inside bitcoin, but we should see how does the people react about bitcoingold. but i dont expect to see a new rise over bitcoin at least for one or two weeks from now, it has been rising a lot, and it diserves to rest for a while.
But bitcoingold is so strange, i dont know what to expect from the price, a lot of people are saying that it is already listed on yobit for more than $450 each, i dont know.

I don't think so, as i have read, BTG's developer is not known and they will have premine coins before issuing the BTG/BCG. The price might be low for trades, let's continue on observing the BTC price changes because as of now it's still unpredictable and this BTG Developers smells like scam for me.

For now, Since many exchange and wallets didn't support holding of BTG, The price will be stable at the current price, But maybe next month, Expect dump hard for BTG price because many users that get it for free will rush to sell it while it's price still high. |

And i never see any endangered things on bitcoins for this since even if bitcoins will dump a little bit there will be a pump follow since those seller will buy back since they already gain some profits from those dump and with the bitcoin gold. any altcoin that "gives away free coins" has the same fate without exception: - some people sell immediately after they receive their free coins - some wait and dump at the best price these two groups determine initial price of the coin. but after the dumping is done and everyone was out of free coins the real price starts showing up and it becomes stable and that is when the pumpers start their work on it. for bitcoin gold the first step is nearly done and price is around 0.075 BTC-0.095 BTC after all the dumps. but there is a second step because the blockchain and mining is not ready yet and so far the dump was from traders who help their coins on exchanges which are a great part of the total anyways. so the worst dump is nearly behind us if you ask me. |

Once BCG actually gets forked from bitcoin i can see bitcoin price rising. Right now is the period before a fork where people panic dump bitcoin, for no apparently reason. We've seen this with Bitcoin Cash fork back in 1st August, before the fork there was some small dumps but after the fork, people started buying bitcoin once again and pumping the price up. After the fork, we'll reach $6.5k i think. |

I'm not sure about the reality that's gonna take place soon. I believe that there will be a price drop and bitcoin gold will be in bump for a small time same as that happened with bitcoin cash. Once after that the value of bitcoin will move forward crossing the barrier price that have been expected to be crossed long ago.

BCG will be a very minor altcoin, because they have shitty communication, blurry fork method, no code published, pre-mined coins, no support from exchange ...
Impact was a small decrease of bitcoin price at the fork-snapshot, then everything has been corrected.
When possible to dump these coins, they will value nothing, so there will be no increase of bitcoin price.

i think bitcoin gold will be like bitcoin cash and it might be only at the price now, we have seen the highest price for bitcoin gold and it is difficult to see the highest price again but it is possible in the future. but for bitcoin, I think the price will be down a moment when the fork is happen and after that, I think bitcoin price will be increase and its no matter there is a bitcoin gold or not, bitcoin price will be back to increase, so I think we can waiting for a while.
