Everybody can fork bitcoin at anytime. Nobody can stop it.

If you think a little harder, forking bitcoin is not different than creating an altcoin. As long as you can find enough supporters/buyers, as long as you can convince people to buy your product; it will never stop.

the whole point of btc was to be decentralized. but the miners got a lot of power, so in fact btc as a project is a failure. the miners with their forking are like central bankers, they create money out of thin air. such a shame. thats why I think it is possible for another coin to take over btc
