The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Losers huh?  What project have you done for Bitcoin that popped up on the top of my google news feed? Gotta love the brass of criticising people who bring good PR to Bitcoin.

Your question insinuates that popping up on a google newsfeed is the hinge-pin of being a loser or not. I can not relate to that at all, nor agree. My hinge-pin for being a loser or not is a bit different.

Begging good (and probably poor and struggling) people for money for a free honeymoon under the guise of promoting Bitcoin to desperate people seeing their BTC savings value plummet is certainly being a loser. Its's like, hey, donate BTC to us and your values will rise because of touchy feely sunshine and roses, all warm and snuggly inside, will get more people to demand more coins.

right... are people really this stupid?

if so, I have a hunting trip coming up this fall .. we can do a second honeymoon for me and the mrs. ... anyone want to donate  so you can feel good inside?

and maybe... just maybe your bitcoin savings will rise!

Good luck to the newlyweds.

It woulda been cooler if they said they were funding this from their previous accumulated bitcoin wealth (perhaps b/c they are both miners?)...

The way it's portrayed now, I could see this never getting off the ground...

Coinbase for selling BTCs
Fold for spending BTCs

or Vircurex for trading alt cryptocurrencies like DOGEs
CoinNinja for exploring the blockchain.

The money is for the documentary, not their living expenses/honeymoon, if I am understanding correctly. I think it is a cool project! I do not usually donate to these types of things though.

You realize that video software is free and you can now get a HD camera for about $100 USD... right?

So why don't you make a documentary for free?

This is NOT some stunt to provide for our living. All of the Kickstarter funds are going to be used to produce a beautiful feature length film that will be entered into film festivals and possibly even in theaters.  Beccy and I both have very successful professional lives and we have absolutely no need to live on bitcoin or get a “free vacation”
Seems legit

1.5 months, 2 guys. they're getting 23,300 each (if split evently) a month doing this documentary...

but probably more than just 2 guy crew. 2 or more editors, maybe 2 filmers, mic guy, etc.
