You also can watch masternode's balance from your desktop by swapping wallet.dat into KZCashCore datadir. If you want to spend masternode's coins from your desktop, it's usually a good idea to put the same masternode.conf for your desktop wallet with the same content as masternodes have, so your desktop wallet would avoid spending those init 1000 KZC, because it would result in masternode shutdown until next reconfiguration.
